Finally - a splatter screen with a bit more heft to it.We have used the super market supplied screens for years and the problem is that they just don't hold up well. They have a cheap price, but they are cheaply made. They tear, rust and separate too easily.This screen addresses these short comings - it has a better grade steel for the screen (heavier grade), a more secure method to attach to the ring and a cross brace to keep it from bending during storage. It is also better balanced so it stays in place better and the handle folds up for storage when not in use.Nice!

I use this in a way I haven't seen described on here. I did not buy this for use in frying -- I bought it for use in my countertop oven because the handle folds flat. I fold down the handle so it will fit and then put it over foods that might otherwise splatter and ruin the inside of my oven or the glass oven door. I'm happy to report that this works beautifully, and my oven stays sparkling clean even when I am cooking meats and fish and other foods that would normally make a baked on mess.

Cool item, but actually TOO big for me, since the edge ends up running into the handle which lifts it up and keeps it from laying flat on the pan. Works though none the less, and if you have some unusually large pans, it will work great with those, as well as small pans, so the versatility is nice, as well as easy clean up being able to throw it right into the dishwasher no problem, after doing it's job keeping oil from splattering all over our black stove.

Has some sort of oil stain on the screen. I missed my return window before I noticed it. So I tried to wash it off, but the stain remained. Never used it, but it will probably end up in the trash because I don't want whatever the stain happens to be, to fall into my food.

Keeps splatters off the stove top quite well. Easy to clean and is sturdy. Large size to cover almost every pan I have.

Now I can fry bacon in a big skillet without making a mess!! Clean up is so much easier now.

Keeps my arms from getting grease burns. Works great and cleans up easily.

Turns brown the first time use. Functional. Occupy space
