Potentially decent drone is crippled by incomplete/bad instructions
The instructions are terrible. It is not obvious how to open the battery compartment in the controller and the instruction do not help. Tech support did not answer the phone and didn’t return a call after I left a message. After five minutes of poking and prodding I figured out how to install the batteries. As well as the being incomplete and not very detailed, the instruction sheet font is tiny and hard to read. The drone initially flew okay. The instructions say the trimming "…should be done every time you fly". The drone was drifting slightly sideways when the controls were neutral, so I press the trim button. Now, it won't fly straight at all; the drone always quickly slides of to the side, and is completely unusable. There are also a couple other control issues that are not explained well by the instructions (I guess they assume you already know how to fly a drone with these controls). Since telephone tech support was unavailable I sent out an email request for help. If tech support responds with a good answer I will update this review; otherwise, I will return the drone.Update: a couple days later Contixo did reply to my request for help via email. Unfortunately, the reply did not clarify the control issues. Instead, they sent me a scan of the same instruction sheet that contains ambiguous/incomplete instructions. Sigh, I really wanted to play with this interesting drone; but these usability problems have wasted too much of my time. I am returning the drone for a refund.

Almost
This is a smart looking micro drone with wrap around prop guards. What's the aerodynamic term for why this drone tries to hug the ceiling? This little drone that could does take a beating but still comes back for more.BUT I assumed the left joystick would be spring loaded since the listing read "Intelligent Fixed Altitude." Perhaps I assumed that meant altitude hold or hover hold. It does not.

It is better than other small drones
It is better than other small drones, but the vertical lift is uneven. It stays low when you start, the you lift it a bit and responds by hovering higher. But then, all of a sudden it starts to climb again fast, and when you try to compensate it falls to the floor. This is NOT my first drone, so it is not lack of knowledge, but probably a design flaw. But hey, it was just 20 bucks! It's more than good enough for that price

... compare but what I can say is I really enjoy flying it
This is my first drone so I cannot really compare but what I can say is I really enjoy flying it. You just have to give it a bit of time before you get the hang of it. It is really responsive and the controls are quite accurate. It just sometimes does not start charging after plugging in and after a couple of tries it somehow does.

Got one for my 60 year old dad and 30 year old brother as an entertaining Christmas gifts. Figured they would crash them into eachother a few times and be done with them. Even they spent the next two days flying and recharging them over and over again. They are surprisingly durable and fly fairly well once you get the hang of it.

I expected this to break quickly but after 5 days and dozens of crashes it's still in good shape. Took several tries to get it to sync, which was a bit frustrating. It doesn't hold a charge for long, maybe 8-10 mins of use. But it's very fun while it lasts and charges back up quickly.

A good test of your patience
I've spent about 2 hours fooling around with this little drone and I have yet to have it in the air and controlled for more than a 2-3 seconds. I've tried adjusting the settings with the correction function but I never know how much each blade has been set to until I max it out. It's been frustrating but my kids are entertained with chasing it around and saving it from going under the couches, tables, curtains, etc. I have a hard time believing it should take more than the time I've spent to have at least enough control to make it take off, move to another location within 10 ft and then land it.

Great gift
The media could not be loaded. Great little drone! Will definitely teach you the physics of flying a drone, while giving you the ability to fly it in your own home where the environment is controllable.Durable and small, it doesn't hurt when it hits you and doesn't really do much damage to anything. Your cats will definitely love this thing.Battery is small and not interchangeable but you will get about 7 mins of flight time on a charge.Great gift!

Not worth it
Not impressed at all. I spent the first 20 minutes pulling hair out of the blades (from a NEW product??) it will fly off the ground about 3ft for a few seconds then drops down and just skims the floor. Would be better off buying an RC car, they're made to stay on the ground.

Four Stars
Works great. Takes some practice to learn how to pilot well.
