Good USB outlet with lots of amps
Great USB outlet. Does not hum or make any noise, and puts out lots of amps for fast charging. It says each is 3.1a, which is far better than most others, which are shared 2 amps, and usually make noise.The yolk is pretty big, so you need a deep box. If you have more than 2 Romex going into a large box, this will not fit easily. It does not require pigtails as there are pre stripped wires for hooking it up. They also give you three orange wire nuts, which are a bit small if you have 12 guage wiring, or 2 Romex in the box (get yellow in that case, or even red).Not sure why ground is up, but I installed both with ground down.The tamper resistant feature takes a good bit of pressure to insert a plug, which is a little annoying.

Good Product - Tight Fit!
Good product - not recommended for standard sized electrical box. The receptacle comes with a pigtail set of wires. When installing in a standard size box on a circuit that passes through the receptacle you quickly run out of room in the box. I had to swap out the box for a deeper design and then was able to squeeze everything back in. There are other manufacturers like Lutron that provide a standard push/screww connection option.

Infuriating child proof lock makes me scream. The AC plug childproof action is a terrible design. You must fight it to get plug inserted. Easy to shock yourself when fighting it. The USB part works well. AC part ruins it.

It is really a blast! easy installation and the charger rocks! fast as hell, just what i expected. just be careful, the deep of the charger may not fit the standard hole.

Wish I'd found them sooner...
These outlets are great. Easy to install and soooo functional. I have replaced every outlet in my small, generator driven lake cabin so we can now all have access to charging our mobile devices. Am in the process of replacing the ones in my home as well as using them as mobile charging/electrical outlets.

The tamper resistant plugs make it near to impossible to insert any plugs. I have other units that do not have this problem
