Teenage “Thelma & Louise” is a great romp!
I’m a fan of Emily Henry’s novels, and was curious about this co-authored book. The authors took me on a journey that provided a balance of humour, fun, and suspense but with the right amount of seriousness given to the trauma experienced by these young women. Don’t shy away from the “Young Adult” designation; I’m much older than that & I enjoyed the ride!

content warning: main characters in abusive relationships with secondary characters, somewhat graphic violence, murderthis book was a journey.i really fell for winona and lucille. their friendship spoke to me in ways both personal and dream-like, in the sense that i sure hope every one of us may be able to share a bond like they have someday.the book was funny when it had to be, and serious when it mattered. it approached heavy topics such as domestic abuse with the intensity it deserved, but also with some lightness pertinent to the situation. we got to see life from these girls eyes and understand their worlds and why they so desperately want to escape it. we root for them, we laugh with them, we get scared for them. and we really do!i had the opportunity to read a physical copy while also listening to the audiobook, and i must say this made the experience all the more better. the narrator (Julia Whelan) added to the story just as Cavallaro and Henry, and i’m so glad i got to live through this book created by such talented women. it was definitely a joy to read, and i recommend it to all lovers of YA as well as Thelma and Louise.

Interessante

couldn’t put it down
I read this book because I love all things Emily Henry. It was so profound and exciting to be inside these young girls minds. To take this trip with them of breaking free ad figuring out who they were. Definitely so apprehensive moments for me of being unsure where this was going but my fear were put to rest and I think the focus on living was such a breath of fresh air.
