No more boring filament colours!
I had saved this selection box of filaments in my Amazon WishList and finally decided to buy them to test out, as I want to create a few children's toys. These 4 filaments - Bronze, Wood, Marble-like and Shining Gold arrive individually vacuum sealed and packed in a small box. These are then packed in a larger outer box, so no chance of them arriving damaged! The spools are smaller, 200 grams each, but should fit on a regular holder - no issues using my stock Prusa i3 MK3.I was concerned that the particles in the filament would damage the brass nozzle, but after over 24 hours of total print time I can't detect any problems. I noticed in the Q&As that AMOLEN say this is fine with a normal nozzle and no need for hardened steel. The filaments loaded fine for me, and apart from the shining gold, all had very good bed adhesion. The shining gold lifted a little bit, but that may have been me not cleaning the print bed thoroughly enough with alcohol before hand.I chose a selection of models for my review prints, all taken from Thingiverse:Bronze print: Aztec Gold Drink Coaster by nexnox- thing:2506017Printed at 0.3mm layer heightWood: Wooden Rope Barrel for Gloomhaven by RobagoN - thing:2950487Printed at 0.1mm layer heightMarble print: Marble portrait of the emperor Antoninus Pius by bdipaolo - thing:239441Printed at 0.1mm layer heightShining Gold: Flexi-Dragon by Benchy4Life - thing:3505423Printed at 0.2mm layer heightI am most impressed with the marble print - it did take nearly 5 hours due to the layer height, but the print quality is amazing. This selection box is more expensive to buy per gram, but it lets you try out 4 filaments without having to buy a 1KG roll of each. I would certainly buy the wood, bronze and marble again. The shining gold is fun but I can only see myself using small amounts to add detail to other projects.Overall, good quality filament and a handy way to try out 4 different materials without spending a lot.

excellent filament but the small spools drive you mad
Overall an excellent filament but drops one star for the spools they come on. if they had only made them 1cm bigger there would have been no problem. But as the edges of the spools are only 1 mm or 2 mm bigger than the spool of filament, it means the filament constantly falls of the reel until you have used enough for the rim of the spool to be higher than the filament. Its a massive pain in the arse at first, but other than that the filament works fine in my ender 3 pro. The wood one is a bit more brittle than i am used too and is more prone to going stringy but slow the machine down and its fine. The glitter one has a rough feel to it on the spool which i think might cause wear on the bowden tube if used a lot, but after its printed its smooth to the touch. The marble effect one gives a really good impression of being marble and the dark gold is exactly that dark gold.I will definitely be using this brand again but not on the small reels.

Amazing
Amazing product, more expensive than 1kg spools but worth paying extra for selection.Funny enough bronze is my favourite filament, none of pictures show it justice because how this filament trick your eye and what it do to light it's unexplainable (think very shiny, bronze coloured stainless steel)Wood fillament is very nice but I believe information card on it is wrong, they recommend higher print temperature (190-220) but this fillament just drip (not ooze) out of my nozzle. Had success with 190c printShining filament is quite hard to work with,it's more see through than picture show (think 80% clear, 20% gold flakes)Marble filament haven't been tested yet because I'm too amazed with bronze (and I've bought this pack mostly for marble filament)

Very cool and great fun!
I love this stuff! Usually I buy cheap stuff but I just got a new printer and wanted to have a bit of fun so picked up this selection box to play with. The good and bronze come out really well, lovely smooth prints with a great shine and really hide the layers well. The glow in the dark is great fun and really glows! It again prints really cleanly. The biggest surprise was the marble as it doesn’t look particularly great on the spool but the finished results are really stone like! All were printed with the Prusa mini presets so no tweaking, so I’m guessing with a little fiddling they would be even nicer but out of the box gave great results. If you want to have some fun with more interesting filaments without breaking the bank or potentially having loads of large spools lying around, give these a try!My only slight negative is the small spoils as they wouldn’t fit on my fixed bearing spool holder but luckily I have a “loo roll” type holder too so not a problem but something to be aware of

rainbow pla 5metre color change!!!!
6/12/2020 2nd purchase november 2020 see 1st review- this prints ok on prusa mk3s and looks well, however dont believe the colour change -they state it changes colour every 5 metres -not true- the 1st print did change colour after approx 6 metres!! the second colour has now printed and at 15metres still the same colour and still has some left on spool,so not as advertised it is nowhere near as bad as the last one but i suspect looking at spool the colour change is nearer the15m + Amolen false advertising

Nice finish
Well have done a test print with no issues. Nice finish that could be passed off as wood from a distance. Like all reviews for this type of filament there always seems to be problems with blockages. I have found with the marble type filament that its much more temperature sensitive. As its more likely to overheat. I find you need to get the temperature right. I treated this filament like the marble version and had no issues printing it. Maybe I just got lucky but unless I have issues that is my theory anyway.
