Above Ground Swimming Pool Winterizing Skimmer Guard Plug Fits Hayward SP1091LX

If you are looking to keep leaves and such out, get it. If you are looking for something to be water tight, maybe, maybe not. Mine never would seal water tight. I ended up getting the freeze plug that goes in the skimmer. It is nice to keep debris out over the winter though.

Didn't fit as snug, but it is holding back any water. It will be nice not to have to spend a lot of money refilling the pool next year.

Had to cut it down to fit skimmer.

The plug didn't work. The Hayward skimmer comes with a butterfly gasket which interfered with the plug

Put plug in. Did not hold water. Tryed put grease on. Did not hold water. Loose fit.

doesn't stay in. come right out and doesn't do what it is supposed to do.
