The mattress protector had a foul smell after a wash. Tried washing it couple of times,the smell did not go away.

This is a great 2 in 1 set. I love the softness of the sheet and the stretch in the jersey material makes these sheets easier to put on than most. The crib protector is also very soft and the waterproof layer does not make a crinkle noise when baby moves on it. I love the sweet elephant pattern and the colors are appropriate for a boy or girl.
