Retrospec Lennon Adult Bike Helmet with LED Safety Light Adjustable Dial & Removable Visor - Adjustable Bicycle Cycling Helmet for Men & Women

Well, I purchased my first ever electric scooter (at 74) that has a seat and rear basket from Amazon and in the product manual it states to use safety gear. Well, I only travel 1/2 mile round trips to work so I ignored that warning; the result was I took a hard fall and bruised my ribs; banged my knee; scraped my elbow and yes, banged my head on the sidewalk. That was a hard lesson learned !!! So this was one of the safety items I purchased. The helmet is solid! It’s a one size fits all so I’m not sure what to say about that. I do know that out of the box it fits me perfectly; a little tight but I prefer it that way. I really like the added safety light in the back of the helmet. Lights really well for when I leave work at midnight. Not sure how to change the battery, when needed, but I’ll worry about that when the time comes. I guess my only gripe is that rain visor on the front of the helmet; it comes off easily but that is actually my fault because I store it in my old backpack that is secured to the rear basket which is probably a little bit too tight for my helmet. But, at work I have to store it or everyone will play with the helmet and light. This is definitely a 5-star product!!! Well constructed; great added safety feature with the rear helmet light; solid straps; comfortable!

This is a good helmet! It's comfortable & easy to use, fit, & adjust. I love that it has a light for being seen. It's a nice color & a reasonable price. Finally, I feel that it offers a good level of safety & I'm going to dispose of our old helmets. It is lightweight & has ventilation. This new helmet is SO much nicer than the old helmets!

Love this bike,! Purchased it to remain safe while riding my bike on main roads through our town. Love that there is a feature of the LED light on the back to provide extra caution and safety when riding my bike. The helmet is a very comfortable, I love that it adjust with the knob on the back to provide extra comfort and ensure that the helmet fits tight enough to my head. We live in sunny Colorado and I can get pretty warm going on long bike rides, there are holes in the helmet that allow for airflows so that you do not get extra sweaty and have matted bike helmet hair for the rest of the day. That helmet is versatile, It could be shared between people with different head sizes due to the adjustability, and the look can change- the sunvisor can come on and off to give you a different look, the light can be turned on or off on the back. It procides great protection and performs, as I would expect, great value for what you were getting in this product, much cheaper than other bike stores sell it for yet provides the protection needed!

Overall the helmet is okay. Safety is the most important thing, and I am confident it will do its job well, and it fits good, secure, comfortably. I ordered black but in the sunlight, (which is where I will wear it hopefully) it appears to be very dark blue... not quite black. Also the LED light was a pain to get out. It says no tools required but I had to get out a flat head screw driver, and it felt like the plastic tabs were going to break before it popped out. As you can see from my photo, I think maybe the light wedges too deep into the helmet on the left side. It took a lot of prying and it scuffed up the back of the helmet.

Take a load off. This helmet is so light you forget you're wearing it the second you snap the chin strap, With the many vents the air flow is so coool around your dome you'd think it had AC. Nice touches everywhere. First and foremost the padding is plenty tuff and gives peace of mind,( literally), that it will keep your coconut protected. There are two reflective tabs at back that blast and oh yeah, a fantastic triangular light for a day or night heads up for the traffic behind you. 3 settings - straight - blink and my fave a circular pattern. When my Lennon helmet came the light had a glitch. Worried about customer service with Retrospec? Fuggedaboudt it. I emailed the their guy and had new light in 3 days. My only quibb is it is very difficult to pull the light off the helmet with your fingers to (some day) change the long lasting flat battery. Solved that prob with my fave tool, a butter knife. I live in area with steep hills. Around sundown the pitch points you eyes directly into the sun. The small visor gives a surprising amount of shading. It is also priced around at a mind blowing 40 bucks. Last but not least, it's got a stylin look. No easy feat with a bike helmet. Props Retrospec.

I have been using this helmet for over 6 months now and its been fantastic. The padding and build quality are excellent, and it has held up really well using it multiple times a week. It also has excellent ventilation, and I feel like my head sweats a lot less in this helmet than previous ones I have owned. I have been lucky enough not to crash to fully test it out, but based on the overall quality, I am certain it is very safe and will perform well. The battery life on the rear light of this helmet is also excellent, and the red lights are very bright. They have performed well when riding at night. This is a great helmet for the price and also looks awesome! Grab this one!

I weight about 225 lbs, my ebike weighs about 110lbs. So 335 lbs combined. That's a lot of inertia. I was cruising at about 25 mph when I lost traction and slammed front wheel first into a large boulder off to the side of the trail I was on. I of course went over the handlebars and my head smacked the boulder, helmet first and I heard a crunch. Have you ever had time slow down when something awful was happening when you have an unreasonable amount of thoughts take place in a very short period of time? From the time of the crunch to the moment I hit the ground, I was so thankful I was wearing a helmet and I from the sound of it, I was POSITIVE the helmet was done for. After laying on the ground for a few minutes determining if I was bleeding profusely / if anything was broken, I got up, popped the helmet off to take a look at it and it looks as it does in my picture. Hardly any damage! And my head is 100% fine. I don't even know that I got a bruise out of it. I'm quite confident this helmet saved my life. That being said, the padding seems to be great, it's not uncomforable to wear at all. I often forget I'm wearing it. It offers great cooling. My head actually feels cooler when wearing the helmet and riding than without the helmet. The size fit really well and offers a wide amount of adjustment to get a good fit. Any helmet that prevents bad injury is worth whatever the cost but the cost of this product is especially a great value compared to other larger name, comparable helmets in the segment.

This helmet fits comfortably. It has so many vents, so it doesn’t get too hot. I like the visor. I really like the light in the back! It’s very light weight. I like that it’s a matte coating and not shiny. You can turn a knob and fit this helmet better to your head or loosen it. It’s worth the money if you ask me. My son was wearing my helmet and fell off his scooter. He banged the helmet up a bit but he was safe and his head and face were protected. I bought him this same helmet in black now. I definitely recommend this.

I have never liked wearing a helmet for biking but realize that safety comes first so I bought this helmet. It’s so comfortable I forget I’m wearing it. I also love the light blue colour.

Le look old school j'adore. En plus il est léger, confortable, procède un ajusteur dernière la tête et 3 différentes fonctions de lumière. Pour le prix c'est parfait. Je ne donne pas 5 étoiles parce qu'il y a une très légère bosse sur le dessus du casque (sur le plastique). J'ai essayé d'enlever la lumière dernière le casque mais après une dizaine de tentatives j'ai arrêté pour éviter d'endommager le casque (il n'y a pas de vis pour cette lumière).

Grandeur assez variable pour ajouter un bonnet lorsqu'il fait froid !
