Disclaimer: I met the author at her book launch party after ordering an Amazon copy that won’t arrive ‘til Dec. 20. So I wrote this review based on my identical party copy. I love Ashley’s art, which seems like the love child of a torrid threesome involving Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, and Sarah Silverman. The book showcases her original acrylic paintings with notes and it's a one-woman festival of gorgeous, flamboyant, bitchy, and slyly funny statements with the intelligence to engage your woke-ness. It’s also a bargain with nicely-reproduced images of about 200 pieces by this unique pop artist who’s catnip to both celebrities and critics. She depicts the famous from Lil Wayne to George Washington with sharp, funny, hyper-embellished portraits. (Copyright should forbid , but see the pic for one of my favorites.) Focusing primarily in this book on women with attitude, she portrays herself and icons like Jackie O, Frida, Ruth Bader Ginzburg, and Anna Wintour with truth and humor. So you get to be a Longshore collector with this single art book from Rizzoli. Ashley’s a hyphenate gifted in many platforms - furniture designer, humorist, and author. I just finished her first book You Don’t Look Fat, You Look Crazy in an enhanced eBook version with color illustrations of some of her work. It’s a hoot. She’s not for everybody but If you’ve read his far, I bet you’ll enjoy her, too.

This artist is amazing. I love her work. This book is bright and colorful. If you love art and coffee table books, get this.

I ripped a few pages out since they were already matted and were easy to transfer into a frame! So now I’m able to beautifully display both the book and it’s contents! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Ever since learning about artist Ashley Longshore I've been fascinated by her works of art. Truly a beautifully done coffee table book that doesn't disappoint and worth the price. If you like Andy Warhol and pop art, Ashley Longshore is one to watch in the art world.
