If you’re a fan of Milton, then I feel this is a must have. The dimensions of the book are small but the content packs a punch. There’s over 40 years of his poster work covered in almost 700 pages with his personal thoughts attached to each piece. I’ve just dug in and am having a hard time putting the book down. A sold collection from a legendary designer.

`Does lightning cast a shadow?` ...is one of the musings from Milton Glaser contained here. This collection, spanning 50 years or more, is a delight for Glaser fans and for those interested in the world of graphic design, illustration, and fine art. If the posters weren`t so cooly contemporary and very often daring, they might even evoke nostalgia. His short texts to the left of each piece are a revelation . Glaser is not afraid to look back with a sometimes critical, almost jaundiced eye at some of his work. That`s a valuable lesson for young students entering the field-- delivered by the Master.

Even before you open this book the beauty of it is magical. Inside is page after page of the most gorgeous illustrations. Well worth the money,a beautiful book.
