All the Hits
Great CD to have on, background or front and center. All the Hits are here. Live album is recorded great, but different enough from studio albums more gruff singing than I was used too, but cool to hear. If your a fan get it. If you are on the fence or new to Zz top then this is a great pick up and not a bad place to start.

Great sound and performance
The third live ZZ Top cd I bought from Amazon. All have been 5 star in sound and performance. One of the best bands ever.!!!

Mixed bag, but worth a listen....
Actually, both prior reviews re: the audio quality are accurate. The sound, particularly Billy's guitar tone, varies dramatically from track to track. I have seen ZZ Top in concert approx. 40 times since 1972, so have have a pretty good perspective on their "live" sound. Some of the renditions here are excellent; others are forgettable - nobody goes to a ZZ show to hear Pincushion or Sixteen Tons..... A bit of a missed opportunity, but overall, required listening for ZZ fans. As a bonus, Jeff Beck sounds great!

Great traveling music & guitar work!!
I would like to listen whenever ZZ Top would come on the radio. More recently I found out that Don Everly of the Everly Bros. used to put ZZ Top on the radio when he drove to FL & back to his home in TN. So I bought two cd's of Greatest Hits & Greatest Hits Around the World. I really like these two albums, lots of great guitar work on them. Terrific cd's to play in the car - good traveling music & it keeps me awake. If you like ZZ I would highly recommend these two albums!

It sounds great, like you are there in the front row ...
This is a kickass album!! What is all the criticism about? I don't understand. It sounds great, like you are there in the front row watching the guys in action. ZZ Top doesn't need studio overdubbing to clean it up. It sounds fantastic just as it is and as it says: LIVE. I'm listening to it now in my home office on an early Monday morning to get my day and week started off in the right direction.

Nice live album
You can't go wrong with anything by ZZ Top, one of America's great bands. If life was fair, they would be bigger than U2. Not necessary in the big scheme of things, but has some guest appearances by Jeff Beck and some and one "new" track, ZZ's take on "Sixteen Tons." BTW - I was at the ZZ Top concert at Jones Beach in Long Island the day this was released. When I got home that night, it was in my mailbox! Groovy.

Ignore the bad review re
Ignore the bad review re: cellphone sound; probably never been to a ZZ Top show in their life. This is a good representation of the sound at a live show. It's not augmented, it's one guitar, one bass, one set of drums. Dusty and Billy sound great. The songs, some of the cream of the crop from their best albums. Fun record, great versions. If you like the band, have seen them live, you'll like this record.

Not one of their better CDs
I bought this CD for my husband since he was not able to go to the concert last week. He has been a huge fan of ZZ Top for many years. I asked him for a review of the CD. His comment was it was good for the price. He said it sounded like Billy is losing his singing voice. I think if he had heard the music before buying he probably would never have bought the CD. He has had the CD for a week now and has still not listened to the entire CD. To me that means he is not have impressed. I think we would rather be listening to a non live CD.
