I've really liked the design of this power strip/tower in my use of it so far. It offers a good number of regular power outlets (9) that are accessibly positioned as well as 4 USB ones. While the USB ports won't provide quick-charging for phones that support that, you could easily use the quick-charge adapter that came with the phone if you need that capability. I also found that the power strip's cord was easily long enough without having too much excess cord (probably 1-2 feet more than I needed) .My one slight criticism is that the light indicating that the unit is turned on is not in an obvious location. Rather than residing on or next to the power button at the top of the unit (which has excellent tactile responsiveness by-the-way), there is a small light just above the USB ports that lights up when the unit has power. This wasn't an obvious place to look, and I think it would make more sense built into the power button.

I really want to love this. It’s almost perfect, enough outlets for a desk or nightstand. The only issue is that it isn’t weighted at the bottom. So that means it easily falls over, off the side of the desk or nightstand or whatever. For instance, when you pull on a mobile phone that is charging, normally the cable would be yanked out, if pulled too far. With this, pull the phone too far, the entire unit comes with it, pulling whatever else along, and whatever else the other cables snag. Other than that, it’s great.

When you have several powered pieces of equipment that don't all operate at once, but have to share the same floor or wall outlet, this solves the problem perfectly, neatly, and attractively. With both an on/of switch and a power interrupter reset button, it covers those times you want to control energy use to its plugs, and prevents unintended overloads of the tower. The space saving design is both attractive and the perfect way to accommodate your fat (adapter) plugs without losing the use of neighboring outlets on either side as you would with conventional power strips. Excellent ratings, a sturdy build, and its attractive, functional design make this an easy recommendation for me to offer. I'll order this again.

I've bought 2 of these and they are great. I like the on/off button at the top. Not sure why one reviewer complained it didn't have a power light. There is a green LED for the USB ports and the On/Off button on the top is easy to see and tell. If the button is up....it's off. If the button is down, it's on.As with any AC outlet strip, wall warts can be an issue. This one gives you 3 sides to put one on and still have space for 1-2 plugs on each side.And unlike regular outlet strips that fall over if you don't have them anchored, this one stays in place.
