They are only OK, but not good for Sennheiser HD 238 or HD 239
Since Sennheiser discontinued the terrific HD 239 on-ear *OPEN* headphones, Amazon no longer sells original replacement pads (they used to, but they are no longer available). So, you may think the next best option is to order generic pads like this one... Wrong, consider buying Koss Porta Pro instead. More on that later. These replacement pads look like the ones on *CLOSED* models like HD 228 and HD 229. At the time I purchased them the seller had an incorred picture that looked correct for my HD 239, that was deceiving but they'd uploaded the correct picture now.The sound of my HD 239 changed from great to awful, like if you are listening from the other end of a long corridor. So I do not recommend these pads. You are better off buying the replacement pads directly from Sennheiser (they still sell them) but at a very high price --> $20 dollars + another $15 dollars of shipping and handling from Europe...These pads do work, quality is OK. They are hard to install and require some patience because the plastic ring around the pads is very stiff (not like the original ones from Sennheiser). At least they are usable... But if you care about the sound of your headphones you are better off buying a pair of Koss Porta Pro instead, they sound sound very similar/almost the same and are less expensive than replacing the pads (ignore the vintage design of the Porta Pro, they are very comfortable and sound 99% as good as HD 239), and the original replacement pads for the Porta Pro are $6 dollars for three pairs (3 pairs = 6 pads) of replacement pads. That's my recommendation.

Not an ideal replacement
I wasnt expecting something much different than the stock earpads. But these are completely different in a bad way, mostly. First of all it was so hard so squeeze the plastic ring of these in my HD238 because its made larger than the ear cup. I had to trim around that a bit with a scissor to make it fit. Secondly sound stage is completely different, Ive replaced center part of the sponge in these with the stock ones, that sound a tad better but still not cool. Anyway these look cool and clean, the fake leather quality is fine, but as I said sound quality is not there at all. I wish Sennheiser was selling original earpads for HD238 for a reasonable price...

Not a valid replacement for the HD238 / HD239 models
These muddy up the sound and appear to be an attempt at a replacement for the other, closed variant headphones Sennheiser makes. Also difficult to install and lower quality than the official eadpads.

Perfect Fit into HD219s
It fits very well into my HD219S headset without any issue.

These are not the same as the originals.
These are not the same as the originals. They affect the sound. I modified them a little. The foam is different and does not align the same way.

Low quality
I tried to replace the earpads of a Sennheiser HD 219, and the leather part ript off the plastic part of the left earpad. Right earpad was ok
