My best wool purchase to date
250 grams of soft luxury. After owning several icebreakers and a couple other brands, this is now my favorite LS t-shirt. It's the best value out there in the wool t realm.

warm
Great purchase. I bought another after a month or so. Nice and warm, comfortable and looks good. This one is quite light but still it is a warm layer. I really notice the difference with a wool layer like this compared to any other layer. It made me a believer in wool for warmth.

Initially very impressed by the quality, long term durability yet to be seen
Upon first impression, I'm extremely impressed by the quality for the price. I own a Smartwool 250 gsm baselayer that I really like, and luckily I got it on sale for $71 after tax, however Smartwool's regular price is $100. Compare that to this 250 gsm Meriwool base layer which is a regular price of $60 as of this writing, the value of Meriwool brand is substantial. Very soft, smooth, quality merino. Fits great. I closely examined the seams, and, wow, they are sewn perfectly. Stitching and seams feel hefty and robust. I am extremely impressed by Meriwool's quality for the price!! It's an outstanding piece for sure. Time will tell how it holds up on the durability aspect. I will try to remember to come back and edit this review at a later time once I've put it through the wringer so I can comment on long term durability. But for now, initial impressions are that this Meriwool base layer is absolutely awesome for the price. If you're on the fence about trying Meriwool, I would totally recommend you give it a shot. The quality is superb.EDIT: 2 year update. Still going strong! My only complaint is that it runs a little small in the arms and torso length. I’m tall and thin 6’3”, and the Medium fits well around my body but the arms and torso need to be longer. I wish they made a Medium Tall version.

Good Quality, Strange Sizing, Inaccurate Pic
At first a bought a medium knowing that I might have to size up to a large, and indeed I did. Idk if it was just me, but the sleeves feel almost as tight as before. As it's meant for layering that's a non issue.HOWEVER, the body seems unnecessarily long. The bottom hem is about 4-5 inches longer than the sleeve and has a dress shirt cut. I'm 5'10, 175 athletic physique and if I pull it down it completely covers my rear, otherwise it's a perfect fit. I guess that's great if you want to tuck it in or if you or your SO don't feel like putting on pants, but the picture is misleading in that regard.Quality seems great for the price, not as soft as the equivalent from REI, but it's also half the price. I'll update after I give it a wash.Ultimately, the body length is liveable, the shirt is cut slim enough to bunch up at your hips. Unfortunately however, if you don't have much junk in your trunk, that's something to consider.Solid 3.5 stars. (Good enough to get the job done)UPDATE: After washing according to the instructions on the label, the material has softened considerably and the shirt seems to have shrunk a very tiny bit and now fits perfectly, 5/5 stars
