I fitted this under my front door, which has a recessed and should press against a metal riser in the doorstep, this was always very draughty and I have long pondered on what to use in this situation. I simply used a door width length of this and stuck it under the door and the jobs a good'n no draught at all very pleased indeed which worked for my particular problem.

This weather seal is easy to install by cutting off the required length, peeling off the backing strip and applying the self adhesive edge to the window frame. As it's made of soft silicon rubber it deforms well and makes a good seal. It stopped the drafts and sound penetration around my Ill fitting old double glazing frames very well. I've only just installed the stripe so don't know how well the adhesion will last but I am pleased with the product so far and it is good value for money.

It’s a great product but it’s a little too stiff and thick for my windows. I had to remove some of them because my window won’t get closed. If your door/window has a bigger gap, this will work great.

Great stuff

The product is definitely not suitable for 1mm gaps. The description says that it can be used for 1-2mm gaps. This is misleading and incorrect. My door gap is measured exactly at 1mm and when installing properly the product, the door does not close/lock... Do not waste your money if your door gap is 1mm. With 2mm gap it should probably be ok.
