The Psychology of Zelda: Linking Our World to the Legend of Zelda Series

I love the legend of Zelda games having played all ex kept breath of the wild I get lost in their world. Reading the psychology behind d the series has placed this into my reality.

I collect everything Zelda memorabilia and I saw an ad for this one day, figured I would give it a shot. The writer obviously knows their stuff and does a great job writing about feelings and emotions through the gameplay. It was relatable and understandable at a simple level. The reading also made me want to go back and play all these games again to visually identify the psychology discussed in the text.Great and easy to read!

I love reading this book, it explains the psychology of how people truly feel and relate it to the hardships of what link goes through, I highly recommend this book to help explain mental health and for people who love legend of Zelda!

My book came quick, unfortunately it came covered in spine glue. The pages were so thick that they couldn’t even be peeled apart. This is NOT a human error, obviously the machine putting it together had a mishap. Nobody’s fault. When I reached out for a replacement, they stated I’d need to send back the copy before they sent a new one, but the company sent one on the same day, in excellent condition. I never write reviews, but when I see companies actually caring for their customers, I think that deserves attention. Loving the book so far by the way. Will buy from here again.

I devoured this book in a few days. It was absolutely eye-opening, insightful, and Informative. I loved exploring the series through psychological concepts and theories because it helped expand my knowledge of The Legend of Zelda series. It’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend reading it!

this book provides a lot of interesting perspectives and new ideas that make me appreciate the games more. the last few chapters really dive into the feminist philosophy but not in denouncing men but promoting women, particularly zelda, and how impactfull the women of the games are, which i found interesting. it can be a slog at parts, especially when it repeats the same things over and over again. overall good read

I love and grew up on the Legend of Zelda series. The narrative and mythological aspects to the franchise is something that speaks to me. However, the psychological elements just weren't things that I fully considered, even though I understood some elements of some of the essays in this collection. There is a lot of food for thought for those who love games and hold a particular love of LoZ.

So I bought this cause I was like huh ok mental health and geek stuff litbut reading the summery I was like...Damn ok why am I so attached to LOZ and ya knowthis book was an awesome read

As someone currently studying film and media at university (college), this was a very interesting read. A few of the theorists referred to in this book have been used along my studies in relation to other aspects of media, so it was interesting to see some of the same theories applied to my favourite game franchise.

Interesting book to read about why gamers enjoy the Zelda series.. Really gives it a different perspective on it

Great book full of thought provoking material. My only issue is that I have already read many of these theories throughout the years and so I didn't gain much new information. I guess that is what happens when you become a hardcore fan! I also found the book to be quite repetitive, but for someone who wants to dive deeper into Zelda, I think you would enjoy this book a lot. You start to see the series in a much deeper light that you maybe didn't consider before.

Imprescindible si eres fan de la franquicia y todavía más si también eres del área de psicología. Está un poco desactualizado en algunos temas en específico pero no arruina la experiencia

Great little book! Even has citations at the end of every chapter so you could use it in a research project
