A Fallen Star: A Brother's Best Friend Romance (Shattered Cove Series Book 1)

This was a very good story. You can't make these thing up. Addiction is real and affect those around you. But recovery is the gift that keeps on giving. Loved this book, love is always about forgiveness and so glad the couple made it through all the uncertainty to the end.

The story takes you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey and it is thoroughly worth it!This is the story of Remy and Mikel. And goodness gracious what a story it is! It is fiery, feisty, intense and full of tension, their chemistry palpable and always on the edge of combustion!Remy is naive yet strong, caring, loving, and always seeing the best in everyone. Mikel is dark and dangerous and tempting and feels his emotions deeply.Everyone has demons and baggage they carry with them, sometimes visible, mostly invisible, and the way that the author treats that in this book is beautiful. It's difficult, it's painful, it's real.The road is paved with miscommunications, with obstacles, with twists and turns, and it is worth the journey!P. S. I cannot wait for Andre and Mia's story!

This was my first time reading A.M. Kusi and where in the entire world have I been? This story is fantastic! I loved the interactions between Remy and Mikel; he's broken from his past and while he knows it's bad news to get involved with Remy, his heart clearly hasn't gotten that particular message. As for Remy? She's a young woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it; in this case it's Mikel. At the start of the book it's clear how opposite they are from each other, and the naïveté she displays actually seems to work with her character. As the story progresses there are some events that happen and we get to see how much Remy matured as a result. A well-written story and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

A Fallen Star by A.M. Kusi was an emotional and touching story. Remy Stone has loved her brother’s best friend for what seems like forever. All she ever wanted was for him to notice her. But for Mikel, his demons were too much to bear, much them lay them on a woman like Remy. Remy was sweet, caring and very likable. Mikel was hardest on himself, but truly cared for Remy. Though their attraction and chemistry is intense, can they truly let the other in? Their journey was not easy, but you could feel their love on every page. A poignant story of hope and forgiveness.Happy reading!

This book is intense. I loved the journey of love and self discovery. Remy is a strong capable woman who is trying to balance love and life. Mikel is facing his past and trying to hide it from his present, with the intent of having a future. I couldn't put it down.

Adoration, lust, love, hate, betrayal. All of these rolled up into a single story about soulmates. Addiction and lying, running and getting sober. Coming home and what ???!!!!!

I really didn't know what to expect after reading some of the reviews. The negative reviews regard twists to the normal cookie cutter story lines. What is the point of reading a book that is exactly the same as the last book you read, just with different names? The story had humor, angst, romance and did I say angst? Awesome story!

What an emotional roller coaster! A book that plays to all the emotions that a reader can experience. A very good book!

Omg I almost cried at parts of this book I don't believe remy did right thing in parts but I also kinda respect that she did as well.
