Does this have to be used with a blow dryer? I'm going to Africa for several weeks and there will be limited electricity.

Intended for both. I had limited results using without blowdryer. I am enjoying the result when I use the blow dryer, the hold stays all day. I have fine hair, so that's why the no blow dryer method doesn't really help me. I did not get the results like the models did, the ones with full thick hair. :)

I know this has gone through a reformulation from when I bought it before... I used to love it... does it still smell like vanilla?

It has a soft floral, coconut, lime like scent. Reminds me of the beach & suntan lotions (especially from the late 80s 90s). I pick up vanilla scent pretty quickly because I can't stand the smell of it... especially synthetic vanilla.

does this have any scent to it?

This has a light vanilla scent to it that is different to any other davines product I've used but i always get compliments when i use it!
