Don't waste your time
I'm a little OCD about finishing books I start to read, but this one, after a few dozen pages I had to put down. It is so badly written, it reads like pharmaceutical commercial ... "may cause high blood pressure, stroke or in rare cases ..."The book ended up in the recycle bin with old newspapers. If you want to feel gratitude feel good that you didn't waste your money on this incredibly badly written book.

Perfection!
I am so impressed with the accessibility of the research outlined in this book. What a wonderful summary of the evidence out there for the importance of gratitude. The quality of this project cannot be overstated, I think.

Mixed feelings
I only managed to read through the first chapter, but a lot has been going on in my head just by digesting all the given information. There are things that I can agree on and things that I disagree on based on their information, which I could say it's sort of a plus for them. 'Research-wise', the author kept saying 'researchers do this, researchers do that'... but they didn't put any citations throughout the book for the references or even research papers which could prove their 'study and experiments' claim to be true and/or legit. I always questioned whether those 'social experiments' legitly worked or not, or even exist....I felt like it's like a 'one-way conversation' with the author (of course, books can't talk) despite they're trying their best to explain about gratitude, but on a perspective that only they could understand and/or only they are enjoying discussing the topic. All in all, not my kind of book, and I was hoping for some explicit good research studies explained throughout the book about gratitude. Instead it's like a bunch of essays from different people.
