I used this to replace the insulation on the underside of my car’s hood to keep the heat from blistering the paint. The old insulation was falling apart and needed to be replaced. It is difficult to get the OEM part. I used the old insulation as a template. After centering the new insulation on the hood, I worked from the center out to the edges pressing the adhesive back evenly onto the hood. Make sure you clean the underside really well before applying. I made a slice down the middle of the backing so I could slowly peel the backing from the adhesive when applying. Easy enough and it really works well. It also reduces the sound of the motor.

This stuff really did lower the noise level quite a bit. I used it in a boat on the inside of the engine bay. My only complaint is that it is not sticky enough to stay attached to the engine hatch. To be fair it is a very harsh environment.

Installed on panel behind leg area. Went full length of panel then doubled at engine area. Also added some on seat panel in the middle where engine is. Eliminated most of heat. Well worth the money and work to install.

I actually highly recommend this product. It is very high quality and durable. Very easy to work with and very sticky on the bottom. I like how you can order in different sizes unlike any other product. This foam is not as dense or heave as say Dyna Mat but its completely affordable and will do nearly the same thing in most situations.

Been ig working great for our metris. Used abuse 4 rolls to do the whole thing.
