Letters to Live By: An Inspirational Teen and Adult Coloring Book with Scripture

The media could not be loaded. “Letters to Live By” is a Christian coloring book which goes through the alphabet A to Z with a design for each letter and a design which focuses on a word beginning with that letter and which has a Bible verse and cite(both Old and New Testament.) The ten additional pages at the back include small monogram size letter designs and several postcard size designs as well.While the designs are licensed by Shutterstock, they are all new to me. The designs are detailed without being too intricate. I think it is a lovely book and one that I will be buying as gifts for family and friends this holiday season as well as enjoying for myself right now.I plan on opening the book to a random page and then coloring both the letter designs and the associated page in tandem. I like to feel that I am being led to the pages that I need at a particular time when I am working with my Christian coloring books. There is always something I need to learn or to be reminded of on a daily basis.The scripture translations used in this coloring book are as follows: Holy Bible, New Living Translation, Holy Bible, New International Version NIV, Holy Bible, English Standard Version, Holy Bible, Contemporary English Version, and the New King James Version.This is what I have found while coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper. I will include a list of my coloring medium that I use for testing and coloring in the comments section below.52 Full Size Letter and Letter Inspired Christian Designs plus 10 additional pages of designsPrinted one side of the pagePaper is heavyweight, white, somewhat smooth and perforatedSewn BindingSome Designs merge past the perforations and into the binding area. Nothing essential to the designs are lost into the binding.Bonus pages do not include cutting lines but have perforations at the binding areaBook can be opened fairly flat for coloring if you break the spine with some force.Alcohol-based markers bleed through the page. I suggest either removing these pages from the book before coloring or using a blotter page under your working page. I use card stock but a couple pages of heavyweight paper work well, too.Water-based markers, gel pens, and India Ink pens do not bleed through the page. Some gel pens require additional drying time.Colored pencils work well with this paper. I got good results with both oil and wax based pencils. I found that I could get good pigment, layer the same or multiple colors and blend easily using a pencil style blending stick.

What an absolutely amazing book for an amazing price! I honestly thought that for $2.99 I would be getting, well, maybe a dollar store version of this book. OMG, I was so wrong!The pictures are printed on a VERY nice bright white paper that also has perforated pages! Who would have ever thought!? The pages with only a single letter of the alphabet on them are gorgeous. They would make any childs bedroom gorgeous with their name spelled out, framed and hung on the wall. Actually, I can think of a "million" projects that you could do with the letters.For each letter, there is a gorgeous picture that is a scripture verse based upon that letter. I will post a couple of pictures so that you get the idea.All in all, this book is so very versatile. How about a birthday gift of the first letter of the name of the recipient along with the matching verse? I'm sure that this book will be one of my favorites, just because its versatility. How about just coloring the verse that gives you the most peace? Needless to say, I could go on and on for days! LOLI hope that this helps you to decide if this book is for you. Definitely a very pretty coloring book!

The quality of this book surpassed my expectations! The paper is heavy grade thickness, allowing the use of gel pens with no bleed-through or using colored pencils and being able to press harder for the bold colors. The pictures range from a simple quote with flowers to a very detailed passage surrounded by flowers, animals, etc. Each picture is a joy! I recommend anyone purchase this item. It is of very good quality and made with perforated pages.(The sample photo I submitted is my first attempt at showing a picture. Please forgive the amateur upload.)

This has quickly become one of my favorite coloring books. I enjoy giving my colored letters and quotes as gifts and this book is great for doing that. The pages are a great size for framing, even the small letters for in a 4x4. It would be better in a 5x4 but It'll work. The paper is pretty good quality. I still like to make copies on a heavier stock paper because it colors n better with markers. There's not one page that I don't like the illustration? The only issue I have is the letter K. It's not centerd on the paper, so when I go to frame it the frame may cover part of the letter that is unnecessary.

This is really a beautiful quality book for the price!! I use it all the time when I just want to relax n not think about what intricate coloring I’m gonna do, it’s really nice! U can use many mediums too, I’ve used pencils, markers, gel pens poscas & neocolor 2 on the pages and since it’s not double sided no worries!! I say grab it and enjoy! I will be getting more for friends. Definitely worth money would b worth it for even more money.
