Place the mast through the mounting base of the J-pole.3. Level up the mounting base and then mark the pilot holes to be drilled with a marking pen.4. Drill the pilot holes (with a drill bit about half the diameter of the bolt) into the marked areas.5. Line up the holes of the mounting base of the J-pole with the drilled holes.6. Drill and then secure the lag bolts into the pilot holes.7. If necessary, you may adjust the direction of the mast by loosening the two lateral nuts on the mounting base of the J-pole.

Simple and easy to install mast.
Needed a mast to mount my outdoor antenna and this worked perfectly. The arm appears a bit longer in the image than it is in real life, but it the overall length is accurate. The bend is closer to 50% of the length, rather than the 1/3 to 2/3 split that you see in the image. After using this mast, I was able to get 50 OTA stations with my antenna. (When mounted inside the attic, I got 5 stations!)

Had no problem installing the antenna. Am receiving most of the stations from Tucson, 20-30 miles away. Am not sure yet how the rotating works. It apparently runs in one direction. Don't know if there is a stop at 360 degrees and then reverses, or, if it only runs in one direction. Right now, I am getting what I want after aiming the antenna on the roof.

Highly Recommend it
I haven't put it on my house yet but I hooked it up in my living room and it really works nice! I can't wait Unti I put it on my roof it should be twice as good. This is a very good antenna. I highly recommend it the channels look HD very good quality in fact excellent quality

Live 65 miles from the closest station and suronded by trees. Had a bigger antenna set higher and reception was bad. This antenna has worked great and is 4' lower than old antenna. Buy this I promise you won't regret. And cheaper than a months bill from satilite.

Poorly designed garbage
This was bought to be used with the lightweight "Amplified HD Digital Outdoor HDTV Antenna 150 Miles Long Range with Motorized 360 Degree Rotation, UHF/VHF/FM Radio with Infrared Remote Control". Simply put, I mounted the base to my roof, attached the j-pole to the base, attached the antenna to the j-pole, then tightened down the j-pole to its base. The j-pole would not stay in place, no matter how tight I tightened the supplied nuts and bolts.I even tried adding lock washers to each side of the bolts and it still continued to fall. This was installed on a calm day. If it cannot hold a 1-2 pound antenna in place on a calm day, there is no way it would work during a storm. I tried to explain my issue with the seller and got nowhere, so I returned it.
