This might be the perfect 15" laptop backpack.
I picked this up on the cheap ahead of my trip to Tokyo earlier this year, to use as my only luggage. It's very sturdy, and despite its overall small size, it has tons of useful spaces to hold a surprisingly large amount of stuff. I especially love how the laptop compartment is designed. I'm able to tuck my tablet in there on top of my laptop and both stay well-secured and safe. Even better, its plain black appearance is far more elegant than the gaudy designs of most other backpacks. I'll be using this thing to death for many years to come.

It’s been exactly a year and this bag already has torn on both sides of the handle
Unfortunately this was not expected . I do not overfill and so I am surprised that it tore on both sides .. seems the stitching could be better . I would love a replacement but the link for customer service puts us to a French site
