Most important you read my review as it might save you a lot of time
I learned the hard way, it took me just over a day to get things up and running smoothly with Alexa. Altho ancient I have set up Smart plugs and bulbs so thought this would be a doddle. No doubt it is if you are setting up using a smart phone but I do not possess a Smartphone. I use a desktop pc for everything as it is far quicker than a tablet BUT you need either a smartphone or an Android tablet. Now for the nitty gritty WARNING...If you install the Trust Home Wifi APP and want to use Alexa then YES you will need to buy a hub! BUT what I learned from earlier reviews having read them all is that the Trust Home Wifi is a 'skin' off Tuya programme. After various attempts I ditched Tuya and used my SMART app used for other Smart stuff. I was trying to set up 2 x G10 LED dimmable white smart bulbs in a ceiling light. Setting up 2 bulbs in one fitting is the problem but the following should help you and save some time.- Procedure. First make sure you can get into your Smart app and your Alexa app and then turn off your ceiling light by the wall switch (which is NOT a Smart switch). THEN remove BOTH G10s from ceiling light and replace ONE socket with your new LED G10 Smart bulb...go to Smart app and tap + device. Follow instructions until you have paired. THEN turn off light switch to REMOVE the paired bulb. Next insert the other G10 Smart Bulb in the other socket. Turn on light switch and bulb should start flashing to enable you to +device in the Smart app. You need to be quick as you have 3 mins from start of flashing to complete set up. You may find that you may need to Reset the bulb, if so follow instructions until you have paired this second bulb. When paired TURN OFF power at light switch so you can REPLACE the first Smart bulb in its socket, then turn on power via the switch. NOW you are able to pair with Alexa. If you already have Alexa Smart stuff already set up in your Alexa app i.e. you already voice control stuff then the Alexa App may already show having discovered new devices. Now here is the most important bit. - As the two bulbs are set up individually and you want them both to come on at the same time you need to put these two bulbs into a Group so that you then instruct Alex to turn on using that groups name and magic both bulbs light up as one. If they don't then you have done something wrong. I have various ceiling lights but these particular ones I wanted to come on in my kitchen (dark north facing, and overlooked) but my Kitchen group controls my appliances so I needed a different group name - I used Bistro as a group name as that works well is short and easy for Alexa to recall. - If you wish to complicate things you could 'Bistro' to the Kitchen group and then appliances and lights would all come on at the same time.Note: My Smart app kept telling me it had closed so I just kept reopening it with no adverse effect on installation.-Since having succeeded in installing these smart G10s I am really please with the dimmable effect. Love the warm white as it makes my room look so much more homely now that darker, colder weather is here, hence the 4 stars after all my kerfuffle. Alexa responds well to Turn on Bistro, Turn off Bistro, or Change colour on Bistro to Daylight white. My Bistro room is not large and the bulbs light it better than previous halogen bulbs and being LED will cost less to run but so far I reckon I shall be having the lights on more often instead of the LED strip lighting under the cupboards.

Use Tuya Smart App to connect
After wasting a good 40 mins trying to use the Trust App (don't bother, tried every method, no joy), I instead used the Tuya Smart App.1. Click Corner plus button to "add"2. Under "Add manually", clicked "lighting" (on left), then bulb icon (wifi, light source)3. App then auto added all bulbs and they were recognised in Google Home App.Hope this Helps someone, I can't stand time wasting!!

Work with Smart Life app
Quickly set up six off them in the kitchen using the Smart Life App. I didn’t want another app on the phone. The Smart Life App auto detected each bulb as I put them in one at a time and allowed them to be renamed and set up as a group. They produce a very bright white and I was after a warm white. I have tried setting the colour temperature to warm white but as others have noted they seem to produce a more red than warm white no matter how much I have tried to adjust them. Anyway they will do and are more cost effective than the hive ones that I replaced as they were all a minimum of 1 led (of 4) out after nearly 2 years. They work fine with Alexa - main reason I have them - as others keep forgetting to turn the lights out when they leave the kitchen and I got sick of getting up and doing it.All in all I’m generally pleased with them due to the low price for 2.

Great light can be a headache to install
These lights cost me a lot less then they are currently being sold for (£14 which is now £20).I like them once installed. But to get to that stage seemed somewhat full of hassle and I work with computers! so says a lot either about my ability or these lights.I used the Tuya app as I already had it installed for other smart lights / plugs. My main issue seemed to be that I was typing in my wifi password slightly wrong as I'd recently changed it, which then led me down the path of thing that it could not connect to my Sky router, maybe because it was 5 GHz only or something like that, so I tried splitting it out, wasting a lot of time.Tip one, know your wifi password :)Tip two make sure your router does allow 2.4 GHz devices to connect, it most likely does.Once you have the above, its not at all difficult. They are set in the backend of my garden, about 9 metres from the backdoor and they sometime for no apparent reason disconnect. So be weary of that.I brought these over other brands as they were sold directly by Amazon, meaning if they have an issue a refund would be easy.

Difficult to install
Overall I am satisfied with these bulbs once I got them connected. Getting them connected initially, however is not easy. The default 'EZ" method initially failed to detect the bulbs. When attempting to use the AP or Bluetooth method I was also unable to detect them in any way. Here is what I worked out in the 2 hours it took me to connect them:1) Your smartphone must be connected to the same 2.4Ghz Wifi via the same AP that you wish to use for the bulbs (I had to temporarily disable my 5Ghz Wifi and other APs to ensure that my Android device connected to the correct AP and frequency). Once these were connected I was able to revert my WiFi and AP configurations back to their original configurations.2) To connect to Alexa you need to use the "Trust WiFi" skill - There are many "Trust" skills with similar icons and having looked at the reviews it appears common for people to try using the incorrect skill.Like I say, overall satisfied now they are connected and working.
