You have to press head hard on a plunger ball
You have to press head hard on a plunger ball to snap it before you tighten adapter. Otherwise it will not stay on.I didn't even try the hand pump, I use small battery operated compressor and set it to the recommended pressure for application. Takes about 10 seconds to pressurize it and it works wonders.

Best I've tried
I've been dealing with a slow draining shower for over two years. I've tried everything; Drano, liquid plumber, lye, drain augers, you name it (except a real plumber, can't afford that!)I saw this, bought and only had to use it once! Three pumps to build pressure, placed it over the drain, and pulled the trigger. Immediate results; drain emptied in seconds.
