Really powerful water movers
These are very powerful pumps and move a lot of water! May want to start off at the low end (10-20%) gyre and see how your tank reacts. I have two in my 82 gallon, and this seems about right with no other pump needed.The newly released software update is only loadable (is that a word?) with a micro sd card (you must buy separate) and only an sd card formatted to plain ole' FAT file system. FAt 32, etc will not work, so I hope to save you some aggravation beforehand.

Excellent product, delivered on timeI know people are skeptical when new aquarium stuff hits the market but this Grye works. I purchased 2 -Gyre 230 for a 90 gallon reef tank, set them on 30% and it is amazing. I can't tell you how long they will last but I think these would easily run a 150, maybe bigger. Played with them in the sink and got water everywhere. They sit on the edge of the tank and you don't even notice them. It's worth the few extra $$$

this pump is great when it works
this pump is great when it works, it has a very unique flow pattern and works even better w/ 2 in your tank. I have 1 in vertical and 1 in horizontal orientations it provides great random flow patterns in my 24x24 cube.

Pump died within 3 months & no support/response from Maxspect.
The pump died within 3 months. Initially, it had a very loud noise which went down after about 2 weeks. The seller:Saltwater Aquariums asked me to contact Maxpect gyre support in the US (CoralVue). CoralVue said they can not support me since the unit is being used outside the US (I work overseas). I resorted to contacting Maxspect international website (maxspect.com) and opened a support ticket. 2 weeks until now and they didn't even bother to respond to my ticket nor emails.I spent over $ 290 on the pump and its controller and what did I get in return?? Absolutely disgraceful support from all parties.I feel getting robbed! Please buy a bump from a vendor who will honor their warranty.
