Dirt and grime show up on the plastic and handle readily so be prepared. Lid occasionally doesn’t stay shut and always requires moderate force to close completely. Clamps to hold bags can take a bit to use as the handle or connecting lid can get in the way. Overall, great trash can for the price and would recommended for 1-2yr expected use.

It fits well in my small hallway. I like that the back is flat so it sits against the wall. Opens and closes nicely.My only issue it the "bag frame". You are suppose to be able to pull the trash bag around this "frame" to secure it in place. And them push the frame back onto the top of the trash to keep it in place. My frame doesnt snap into place. There are to little tabs that are suppose to fit into the slot and secure it.That is the only issue. { and the reason for 4 stars} The cover closes and stays closed. It cleans easy. So I amSatisfied.

It's a trash can. Pretty simple. The mechanism that holds the bag is pretty nice instead of one of those that requires you to take out the border, wrap the bag around it, and put it back in. Those are annoying so this is definitely an upgrade from there. My only complaint is to close and lock it you have to press pretty hard and it doesn't always spring open when you press the release button. Other than that, I'm happy with it based on the price.

Great trashcan because easy to put a bag in and ready to upended and close. but the inside pieces that hold the bag do not lock into place. The weight usually holds it down though. Need a lid that locked to keep cats out but they figured it out and just use their paws to open it.

Bought it for garbage, and it looks like it will become a recycling tool soon. The bag was very difficult to get in the can and the springs for the top probably won't last long. This is a product from a good, reliable company, but I believe Rubbermaid may have failed on this attempt.while it is Rubbermaid

Many a trash can has taken a spin in my small, galley, NYC kitchen.In my journey, it's been a challenge to find a handsome, small footprint garbage can which is both sturdy and can fit non brand specific kitchen trash bags. Beyond these common issues, I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars for a gorgeous stainless steel receptacle which eventually lets you down with technical issues such as broken springs, foot pedals or a lid that "dips" into your garbage.This Rubbermaid Touch Top Lid Trash Can in White has far exceeded my expectations and even my first impression bias. I love the fresh, bright, white color which is easy to keep "brand new" clean and makes my kitchen look even whiter. It is very sturdy to the point I used the lid as the table top to wipes down my goods upon arriving home during quarantine.The top of the can is larger than the base which initially made me think it was not what I was looking for. Now I love the wide mouth which easily catches all refuse during cooking and makes good use of trash bags, packing every square inch before it's time to take out the trash. My two favorite aspects of this lovely product is that it fits Costco Kirkland brand kitchen trash bags and the price of the trash can itself. For less than $30 it has been faithfully servicing my household well over a year and I expect it to be around for years to come.I have seen several reviews here which speak of how the can lid will not stay closed. Know that when the lid is open you will see two "wings" around the top interior of the can. These are to hold the garbage bag in place. Depending on the circumference of bag you are using the fit may be tight which makes the "wings" rise when first replacing the bag. These raised wings initially may make the lid "pop" open. This is quickly rectified by throwing away your first piece of garbage, the weight of an apple or heavier, as this weight in the bag than pulls down the "wings". Other than this issue, which only occurs when first installing a new trash bag, the lid is tight and secure.Practical and on-trend, this is a very rewarding purchase which I recommend highly

Dislike not having the top. Creates more flies, especially during the hot days we have been having. It is a good product. Durable, wipes clean easily, and is the size I wanted.

I use it for cloth diapers, but the lid doesn't actually stay closed. Any slight movement and it flies open, so do with that what you will
