Our family orders from Amazon on a regular basis (multiple times a week). Most of the time the items are as expected/advertised. Sometimes items would be less than desirable. However, this item is one of the few that is above what I expected. From the packaging to the quality (sturdy, well designed), and included accessories (lightning, USB, mountings variations for each). Other manufacturers and retailers should strive to produce and deliver products like this one.I highly recommend purchasing this charger/stand for your ipad.

Received mine on time and was packaged well.So to clarify in case many are looking at the difference between the Deluxe vrs. non Deluxe model.Deluxe includes 2 cables one that is Lightening for iOS devices and the other that is USB For non iOS devices.The package does have 3 different fits (Or heights per device type 3 for iOs and 3 for non iOS) I found the middle to be good for the cases i have. HOWEVER, if you do have a thicker case on yours there is an adapter that will allow more of the plug to be exposed in order for it to fit that case which did appear to work well with one of my defender cases i tested it with.All In All i love the cradle stand for the phone. I have tried this with my wife's iPhone 7, my iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Mini 4, iPad air (1,2 and Pro. 9.7inch) as well as iPad Pro 12.9.For the 12.9 iPad pro it is a little tipsy but lets face it a Heavier iPad Pro on a stand with a smaller back brace and balancing on a lightening plug is bound to have some stability issues so i cannot dock it a star for that as it is simple physics.But all in all it worked well with everything i have put on it and yes it did hold the iPad pro 12.9 however i would not recommend this for that device. Instead i would use the other twelve south product called the Compass 2 for iPad (Which is my next review).All in all love it and couldn't be happier with the purchase (Love the Twelve South product line)Hope this helps, happy customer here.

I've updated my review based on about ten days use, and adjusted it accordingly.Ever since my switch to the iPad Air 2, I've been looking for a dock that was capable of allowing me to dock the iPad with a case on it. I alternate between the Belkin QODE Ultimate Pro and the Apple iPad Smart Case, and there hasn't been anything out there to accommodate that combination without serious compromise. I thought I had found what I was looking for in this product, but it has proven to fall short in too many key areas to continue using it.Setup was really quick and easy; I don't think it took me ten minutes to have it setup and functional, and that was with a minor setback: my package was missing one of the three clips that help seat the lightning cable. I e-mailed Twelve South support about it, and they quickly sent out a replacement. Unfortunately, it didn't help me at all. The cable clip choices still left my iPad teetering on the dock, not stable at all, and the clips left the plug either too short or too long, so it became useless for my iPad Air 2. The dock has a small footprint and it looks great from an aesthetic point of view. I'm not particularly happy about the price. With all due respect, there's no way this dock is worth $60. As much as I wanted to like this dock, it's just too unstable for my iPad to trust it.Pros: Nice design, looks great, easy to setup, customizable to use with different device configurations, sturdy. Good customer support.Cons: Expensive!, removing the device isn't as easy as one would think it would be, and the cable clip system is somewhat flawed when it comes to the iPad, leaving it teetering.All told, I would recommend it to a friend, but ONLY if they're using an iPhone.

Well built and designed unit. yet, over time, the unit may offer some erratic performance. To be sure, the product is well designed and well manufactured. The issue is at the point of contact with the phone. Seating the two is not that precise, not that stable. the hookup is tenuous at best. The male end is not as firmly anchored as one would want. It's fluid. It might be a tight and secure hookup or not. It might take a while of fiddling with it which might include disassembling the whole thing and re-assembling the whole unit to resolve the issue. The weak point appears to be the seating of the male end of the cable. It's not precise and solid. So just realize it's not perfect. There might be a certain amount of annoying fiddling required to keep this beautiful item in service. That said, I love the unit visually when it behaves.

I own the previous version of this product. It had some flaws, all of which are fixed in this version.This is an extreme sturdy stand, with the flexibility to use with or without a case. I love that the hi rise lifts the phone off of my table at a height that is easy to see and use while it’s on the stand. The slim connector makes it easy to dismount the phone. And placing the phone on the stand is simple and also super sturdy. I’ve tried several stands and they are all difficult to use when moving the phone on and off the stand.

Just set it on the stand and it starts charging. I have an otter case and it charges no problem. Beware I originally purchased a different brand that looked the same but you had to plug the phone in.
