Best we've tried
We have tried several of these lanyard type holders in the past. Mostly they have failed because the way the attach to the frame of the phone doesn't work or we change the phone and it's no longer compatible, however with this one there is simply large tab that you put into the case and the loop comes through the gap where the charger point is.We chose not to use the self adhesive option because to begin with we were just trying it out, but it held perfectly well with a plastic cover with a buffer style around the front edge of the phone, so it is reasonably sturdy/substantial. Even with the lanyard attached, it did not prevent charging, which was good and I particularly appreciated being able to shorten/length the lanyard to accommodate around the neck or cross-body wearing and also going from my fuller cross-body wearing to my 4'9" daughter cross-body wearing.I originally bought it for my daughter, but in the end, I liked it so much we've bought a second one already so we both have one! I'd definitely recommend it.

Works Perfectly But the Lanyard is Weird
The supplied lanyard is adjustable but it means there are two mad long metal-capped strings hanging down the back of your neck and it looks mental. And the clip on it is horrible to use because it's quite stiff and has no thumb lever. I'll probably get a different lanyard, so really all I got out of this is a few tiny sticky flaps of clear silicon. The sticky thing itself fit perfectly and is sturdier than I expected and doesn't interfere at all witih charging, and you get a few of 'em, so I'm happy.

Great when walking in the hills.
Feels really secure carrying phone on lanyard, when out in the hills and with four adhesive pads I can use with compass and wife's phone.

A very good idea.
The patterned cable is nice but does stick out and attract attention. I received the non-animal version of this, meaning the piece which sticks to the phone is clear. The idea of it is clear is that you won't be able to see it, however, if you look closely enough, you can see it still. Also, the sticky pads are also quite visible and would mean how well the patch is applied controls how good it looks. I would consider the material some kind of soft flexible plastic/rubber which is around 1mm thick. This means that it is quite thin, so it should be able to fit inside most bumper cases. It being flexible, I would expect this to also fit on the phone directly as it can stick to curved surfaces, and this should keep your phone safer than if this was just attached to the case. It does get thicker where the hole is, so I would think that the patch would be strong enough to last sometime. You also get two of them, meaning that you can stick it on multiple devices/case, or have one just in case you mess up the first one.The string is quite long. Realistically, you'll want the loop to be smaller than the largest loop it can form, and while size adjustment is possible, this means that you have longer ends hanging off. There are metal accents along the string and while nice and all, initially, when put on, the metal ends can feel quite cold. Also when adjusting the length, the metal parts start to fray the string, so it's a good idea to not constantly adjust it.This method is overall a good alternative to not having a little loop to fit a little lanyard or keyring on. It would have been nice if there was a strap that could be included that would be easy to fit around a wrist as well, as I am not sure how much abuse the sticky pad can cope with all the abuse, and it's not always comfortable to hold it around your neck.Overall, love the idea.

Strong, thick lanyard with the right case.
There are pros and cons to this lanyard for your mobile phone. The lanyard is made of nylon rope of a good thickness and is clearly strong and will undoubtedly last. It’s nicely patterned and you won’t lose it easily. The ends are secured by strong metal clips so there should be no fraying of the ends. The metal clip is too large to go through the loop on my phone case, and the rope itself is too thick to fulfill that purpose. So the manufacturers have provided a sticky attachment which goes through the metal clip and attaches to your phone case, allowing the lanyard to attach that way. You can’t therefore use either a soft case or a case with a completely open end as the case needs to be able to hold the sticky part tightly to be effective. It is easy to adjust the length of the cord by changing the position of the metal clip. So this will work with the right phone case. Overall though, I would prefer a thinner rope with a clip that would work on my phone case.Just my preference. If you’re looking for a string thick lanyard, this will be perfect with the right case.

Great Idea, Great Quality
I got the Cocases mobile phone lanyard holder with 2 pieces clear patch (Colourful Purple) for practical reasons. So that I could have my phone with me at work even if I had no pockets. I was forever putting it down and not remembering where until it rang. So this is a great idea for what I want it for. It is described as colourful purple but it looks more pinky mauve to me, it is still a nice colour though. It is made from good quality materials and the lanyard itself feels strong. I like that it is easy to adjust the length, just by pulling the ends in opposite directions. The clear patch is self adhesive and sticks well to my phone case. You need to make sure that you have the right case that is compatible with the clear patch because the end has to go through the charging port hole. The fact that you get 2 means you can also have it on another case for a change. I found it to be a little uncomfortable around my neck after a while, it made my neck ache. This may be due to the weight of my mobile and also the fact that it is a rope style lanyard rather than a flatter ribbon style. I really like it and will still use it but will try wearing it over a collar rather than bare neck.
