Chobits Series 1 Action Figure Chi

The quality of the figure is...not so good. Honestly, it is bad. It does not seem like an action figure, it is like a toy to a 6 year old. Although the animation was broadcasted more than 10 years from now, I really hope the action figure is not a product 10 years from now.

Even though i had bought this years ago, It is still in its package in perfect condition and I doubt I will ever open this adorable figurine. Chii is an adorable girl/ persacom and if you have yet to read chobits I highly recommend you do.

I bought this for my 13-year-old niece who is big into animae. It was the first collectable for her and completely surpassed her expectations. So much detail. Provides a good model for her drawings.

Absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier, I've always wanted a chi figure and could never find any and this one is beautiful! :)

I was so excited when I recieved this in the mail. It met my expectations and I will definately recomend this seller to all online shoppers who find some items too good to pass up.

Chobits is one of my favorite series. Most of the "anime" merchandise I own is related to it because I love Chii; her design is simple but so iconic and her story is wonderfully charming and thought provoking. It's not perfect, I do have multiple criticisms now, but, overall I still enjoy it a lot. It has a lot of 2000s nostalgia for me from my childhood, so as an adult, I'm happy to finally have ability to own some Chobits merch. I purchased my particular figure off of eBay for a very cheap price, but this figure can still be found for relatively cheap on a variety of sites. Amazon just tends to be the best place for reviews.The things I like:✩ Chii is nice and big! A lot of the more affordable figures are very small, ranging around 3 inches because they're either from small mystery boxes (which were repackaged in standard plastic bubble on a card packaging for release in America) or gashapon machines, but this figure is about 6 1/2 inches tall, so she's a very good size for a figure. Not too big, not too small.✩ Her clothing, hair, and ears are all spot on to the manga/anime. Chii's "brown dress" as it's often referred to is one of her more standard outfits and tends to be one of her defaults, but I've always thought it was super cute!✩ There's a good amount of detail work. She has eyebrows beneath her bangs, the circle detailing on her ears, the little slits with the stripes in the sides of the dress, an indent for the open mouth, they even painted her on some white and pink panties. While that detail was probably not done with the purest of intentions, I do like attention to detail.✩ Her pose is cute and her expression is nicely happy.✩ The box is nicely styled so there's an incentive to keep her within her packaging for display.✩ But if you decide to remove her, it comes with a nice clear acrylic stand to keep her propped up.What I don't like as much:✗ Even though her face is still very cute, it's not quite Chobits style. Chii's irises should be bigger and the look more soft.✗ The little paper name tag that says "Chi" (which isn't the correct spelling, her name has two I's) in the box managed to detach/dislodge itself from its little nook (I can see where the adhesive kind of gave up on the back), so it sits a little funny in my box and if I shake the box around, the tag moves around inside the plastic, which is not so ideal if you're a serious collector or really concerned about "mint condition" type stuff.✗ I don't believe she has any articulation; this may not be a con for you, it really isn't for me since I plan on keeping her packaged, but it feels like a possible downside, especially if you want to remove her from the box and wanted to pose her or play with her.Overall, this is a nicely made and adorable figure. I'm glad I was able to get one for such an agreeable price and would recommend it to fans. I believe it originally sold for about $15, but you can find it for sale for about $20 plus shipping in 2018, so it's not an especially pricey figure despite its age (I believe it was sold in like 2004 or 2005)
