So far after all the sugar in the gas tank and the siphoning from The neighbors this at least deters them long enough to catch them on camera so it definitely paid for itself. Sometimes locking it is a little tricky or unlocking like it's the wrong key or it'll break off but if you don't gas up much it works just fine

So I bought this for my new car and I have these locking caps on my other 2 vehicles but they are different brands and work great no issues whatsoever. This one was installed before Winter came and the first time I went to get gas, it took me almost 20 min to get the thing unlocked. Well I thought to myself maybe because it’s new and it just needed to be broke in. So I left it on there and the next time I went to get gas still in the Winter, super cold out and I stood at the gas pump for over 30 min trying to unlock it and couldn’t get it to unlock, luckily I had enough gas that I just went home and messed with it. After about an hour of standing in the cold -2 temp, it finally unlocked. This time I took my original gas cap and put it back on, I highly recommend not buying this brand. If you live somewhere warm it might be okay but I doubt it, I think it’s just cheaply made and doesn’t work. I will spend a little extra to get the same one I have on my other 2 vehicles

So I own a 2006 Honda Accord and this work well when I had to replace my old gas cap after someone broke it by forcing my old one open to steal gas. This product is great I highly recommend this to prevent gas theft in car

Be careful when buying this cap. It seemed to seal at first, but after a month, my warning light came on to tighten gas cap. The threads wouldn't tighten down any more . Then after couple of weeks, the check engine light came on, because of the darn gas cap!! It cost me the time to go to a mechanic to check the "check engine" codes and find out it it was because EVAP fuel system seal leak code Turns out this fit is NOT the kind of cap my car needs (despite their description having my Chevy Tahoe listed)

I purchased this cap because of today's gas prices, there are thugs going around siphoning gas tanks and my vehicle is not one with a fuel door/lock compartment. The cap is fairly easy to lock, though when I first received it, I did not know that you can just turn the key and then turn it back before removing and when returning it back, you do not need to use the key. It will engage itself. However, I found that I would sometimes get a "check engine" light if you don't turn it and let it click like 6 times. In addition, it's best to push it in hard as you're turning it, else, you will not get an air-tight seal, possibly causing the engine light to come on.

This is a pretty good deal for the price,it locks and unlocks with the key easily and this helps to keep the thieves from robbing my gas now.
