Lady Bird Classic Collection Hardcover – Box set, 1 September 2013

The books, the price, the packing, everything is just perfect, for children up to the age of 9. And serves as the perfect gift.

It all started with Little Red Riding Hood. I bought it from a store near by for 99/-. My 3 year old had me read it to him over and over. Soon I started looking for the other titles and that's when I chanced up on an irresistible deal from Amazon: 23 books for 1399. Not bad at all!The books were broader and taller than the one copy I had. The content and the graphics are the same. Initially I thought I got more for less. But then later I felt our Red Riding Hood copy was easier to flip through and it also fitted well into my son's hands.It is definitely not an age appropriate packaging. While a 3 year old could comprehend some, some like Rapunzel were beyond him. Similarly older children may find stories like Goldilocks, Enormous Turnip etc. silly. Finally I decided to put away the ones I thought were harder for my son to comprehend.If you are collecting the titles separately and are particular that all the books fit into your shelf beautifully, please be sure to check the dimensions before you buy.Going with 4 stars as the books are hardbound and of very good quality. However I am still wondering if I hurried into buying the collection. If you are buying it for younger children there are other LadyBird books out there that you should try like My First Storytime Treasury, stories for 2,3,4,5 year olds :)

Good collection. Worth the money. My kid loves the illustration and he recognizes the story on seeing the book

Love the voice modulation and various sound effects. My child who doesn't sit quite for few seconds was able to sit and listen for 45 min straight! She loves the stories and has already learnt a few of them and keeps repeating them now.

Lovely books, in perfect condition. Unfortunately, the display box was falling apart when I opened the package. As these books are for my own daughter I didn't mind, but if this collection was a gift, I would be really annoyed.

Good collection

Amazon delivered in flat 2 days with amazing packing. The books were shrink wrapped and hence in impeccable condition. Bought it for my 4 yr old son to acquaint him with story books. Giving him one book at a time so that he will better appreciate the stories or else he ends up playing with the colourful books.

Excellent collection. Though my child cannot yet read english. The pictorials and the storys we make out of it and its colorfullness makes my child happy. She actually sleeps every night after we turn the pages of one of these books showing her the various images.
