Repellex 10001 1-Quart RTU Deer and Rabbit Repellent Original formula

I live in a townhome where deer aren't necessarily the problem, moreso rabbits. They have constantly eaten my spring flowers (mainly tulips) and other plants that I have in my front/back yard areas. I have tried other products before that contain a form of hot pepper solution, but in the end, nothing worked. The only reason why I purchased Repellex in the first place was because of the rave reviews.....and the product didn't disappoint. Firstly, the product is a dark reddish/brown color and it does have a pungent odor. For that reason, I decided against spraying it directly on the plants/flowers, and sprayed on the surrounding mulch. It's been 2 weeks now (in dry/wet weather conditions) and my plants have NOT been touched. I decided to spray the area again after 2 weeks just as a precaution and will now let it be for the duration suggested on the bottle. I couldn't be happier with the product!! If all else has failed, give this a shot.

I would like to get a refund. I waited for my plants to take up the noxious chemical that would repel rabbits and squirrels, waiting for the plant to become unattractive to the rabbits, but nothing happend! Now the 30 day window to return is long past and I've wasted my time and money.

We have consistently had rabbits living in the hedges in front of our house. They seem to keep to the grass much of the year, but have wrecked havoc on our flowers from time to time. I applied a perimeter around our flowers liberally and applied some where they spend most of their time. They moved out... for a time. As long as I reapply every few weeks or so, it seems to be reasonably effective. It does smell awful, which makes sense since the primary ingredients are dried blood and garlic. Since it’s outside, it’s tolerable, and the worst of it seems to dissipate within a day or two.

It works, BUT I've never smelled anything so godawful. Also, it stains the plants. So I guess if you wear a mask and gloves and spray it around the plants it may be tolerable. It would make a great defense spray If you're being assaulted or to get revenge on enemies, like soaking a cloth in it and hiding it in their car or something. Seriously it's an odor from hell.

This product works extremely well. I live in an area that is overrun with deer and no hunting is allowed. They have eaten nearly every plant I've put out. This has totally stopped the damage to my plants. It says it lasts for 90 days, but living in the Pacific Northwest, I get a lot of rain, so I reapply it about every 6 weeks. I've had zero plant damage since first applying it. My only complaint is that even though it was wrapped in a separate plastic bag, it was put in the box with a 35 pound of dog food. The dog food squished the bottle and it leaked considerably ,including leaking out of the plastic bag and all over the dog food. When reordering, I will definitely order it as a stand alone item so it will be packed separately.

rabbits hate this but the spray bottle does not work well. I had to put it in a different bottle to get it to spray

I have been using this profuct for about two months and am extremely impressed with how effective it has been in preventing rabbits from eating flowers in our garden beds.Pros: Highly effective rabbit repellent (we don't have a deer problem); a small amount goes a long way; lasts through rain; plants and grass, as well as surrounding mulch can be sprayed directlyCons: Smell is pretty bad, but subsides over time; since the repellent contains blood it can stain stone, etc if left for a long period of time on a surface.I have not tried other repellents, due to excellent reviews on this product. If you are looking for something that works with more precision and don't want to bother with sprinkling pellets (I selected a spray so I could spray plants directly), this is a great product.

This product should have an addition to the title that warns you of the terrible smell. I couldn't even bare to open the plastic bag they put it in. It made the room the box was in (unopened) reek! They can add humans to the list of things it repels. I want to enjoy my plants, not be disgusted by them. The thought that one of my kids might brush against a plant that was sprayed was too much worry so this was returned without ever opening.
