I love reading this.
I'm loving this comic. It dives right into the action and spends less time on the drama. I that this comic five years old by now, but I'm looking at action that I've never seen in the show before. Turns out that Myxzptlk is right, She really does have a lot of adventures. Once I have this book read, I want to read more. The TV show should have some of the villains in this book recycled into it just like with Vixen being recycled from animation to live action.

Even better than the TV series.
Loved the first season of Supergirl and did not expect this to equal it. It did more than that. It explored just who Supergirl really is. What is she all about. You could now see her as a person and not a super heroine designed just to add to DC's coffers. Great job folks.

Pretty good, but just missing that little extra something...
If you like the TV series you ought to like this. The comic definitely brings a more comic book feel than the TV show with more flamboyant scenarios and situations. There's a heavy emphasis on Supergirl, not Kara, which I didn't like, but understood. Supporting characters are all but ignored completely which, again, I didn't like, but understood. The medium is different. But in so many ways they DID capture the show. This Kara is sweet, and caring, and optimistic, and trusting unlike the New52 Kara. They also use the narration to bring in some details to her backstory that makes Kara feel more alien. One of my complaints about the TV show is that Kara is too human. You would never know she comes from an alien culture...much less an alien culture that is supposed to be eons more advanced than ours. This Kara drops numerous nuggets that remind us that she IS smart and that she IS an alien.I could have done with more humor. The TV show is always making me laugh. But overall, this was solid work.

Perfect Tie-In Comic for the Show
This is the kind of comic you can recommend to pretty much anybody--it's appropriate for all ages, captures the spirit of the show, and has fun nods to DC Comics canon for long-time fans. The benefit of the trade paperback version? The stellar art isn't hampered by the cropping of the digital version.Overall, really solid, enjoyable book. Can't say enough good things about it.

Average
Stories of supergirl are always refreshing to read as they are not same as Superman's at many level; and since it was the extension of The TV series hence it was not a typical supergirl comics book as well. I more or less liked all the stories, though there were 4 different villains and based on that you can say that there were 4 stories but they were all related. But I honestly didn't liked the artwork, I have read the CW tie-up Flash and Arrow comics book as well but they had better art work. Arrow's artwork was better than flash's but artwork in this book was only average. Overall you'll like it if you are a supergirl fan (on or off screen) but nothing extra-ordinary. Only a 3 start stuff

An enjoyable story from start to finish.
Adventures of supergirl, is a comic book based on the popular television show from the cw. On the show, the supergirl character is portrayed by actress Melissa Benoist. Who plays Kara Zor El incredibly well in the series. The story in this comic book, starts of with an action packed scenario right from the off. Supergirl is facing off against an alien called rampage. During the battle kara has to save an out of control DEO helicopter, from crashing into the ground. Or innocent people will be killed. Supergirl manages to prevent another catastrophe from taking place. The entire storyline plays out like a feature length version of a supergirl episode. Facing off against rampage is just the beginning of supergirl's problems. She is also pitted against the likes of other alien foes, such as vril dox, psi, and facet. Against powerful enemies such as them, will supergirl once again triumph, against all odds?. The One thing you can be sure of, and that is you can bet the the girl of steel, will not let them get the better of her.The writing by Sterling Gates is superbly done. Not only does the whole story flow nicely, but he also uses supergirl as a narrator throughout the story. Giving the reader an idea of what thoughts and, feelings that are going through her head. Not only that, but it gives you the chance to understand things from kara's perspective. The artwork in the panels is beautifully done. The style of the artwork changes, as a selection of different artists have provided the images in this comic. If you're a fan of the Supergirl tv series, then you'll love this. Even you're not, it's hard not to like this book.

Never disappoints
The art was great and the comic was fun to read! I love how supergirl is written as an inspiring and independant superhero who still isn't afraid to ask for help and values those around her.
