These are lazy shorts- baggy, casual, not exactly stylish, but comfy and really pleasant to wear. They’re unusually thick and warming for shorts, and long too, so I might even end up taking these out on winter runs as a way of balancing out my temperature (and trying to avoid sweaty legs).I like the design of them, if you can call it a design as they certainly look very basic. I am pleased with the subtlety of the New Balance branding though, which in black on grey (sorry, “Heather Charcoal”), does look very mature, in a good way.The material quality and stitching is lovely and I can comfortably run in these, but I can also comfortably laze around on the sofa in them as well and they do feel just a little bit like short pyjamas.The waist feels like it could have been elasticated but it isn’t, but this is easily compensated for by the simple, shoelace-style drawstring, which you can pull and tie as firm as you like. So while they initially seem baggy, you can tighten them to make them whatever waist size you like, within reason.

I own a number of different items of New Balance clothing but for some reason have never until now tried any of their shorts. These are probably more casual than for any particular sport so I braved them in the cold weather to check them out.As a first thing to note, these pretty much fit as expected - I went for the size that I usually wear and they aren’t too tight both around the waist and around the leg, plus they are long enough even as a tall person. The material is good quality and comfortable, while the pockets are deep and well placed to carry various bits. The colour is a deep shade of grey and the entire garment appears to wash well.Overall then these are good casual shorts for around the house or informal occasions, that both fit well and are of good quality.

When the summer (and some of that climate change) practically upon it, it makes sense to get the old chicken legs out, and what better way to show off the calves than to drape your lower half in a nice pair of shorts, and what a nice pair of shorts these New Balance ones are.They fit like a bum and leg shaped glove, they're comfy, and with enough bagginess to throw kung fu kicks all day long without overly stretching the material. The material, by the way, is what you expect from New Balance, quality. Plus pockets, deep enough to throw in your phone and keys in without fear of them falling out.£18.10 (weird pricing) gets you a pair of these fine shorts. Not too shabby at all.

I normally wear medium when it comes to clothes, but on shorts I often "upgrade" to a large, as I find some medium pairs don't offer much range when it comes to leg movement.However, I opted for medium on these New Balance shorts, and they offer plenty of flexibility, while also being a perfect fit both on the waist and in terms of leg length.The flexibility os aided by the material, which rather than being cotton is a soft, thin fleece. This means these are thicker than your average pair of sports shorts, but they are not heavy or hot to wear.They are great for walking, or for yoga and pilates. Also love the heather charcoal colour. Very impressed.

This is a review for New Balance Classic Core Fleece Short, MenThese are a great pair of shorts. I ordered these for my partner who lives in his shorts from Spring onwards. He wanted a more relaxed pair of shorts, something a little more casual and comfortable. These have not disappointed. They have been so comfortable for him. They fit him really well and are made from good quality material. They are good value for money and I would recommend them.
