Django for APIs: Build web APIs with Python and Django

The author explained all concepts very well. Personally, I was expecting custom user model creation and adding endpoints to it. But this books covers django allauth.

Excellent for beginners to enter into Dhango .

I like its flow and use of language. Takes care of every minute detail.

back of the book its written - connect to react js frontend but nothing related to react in the book.Book is okay but a little more explanation of why things are the way they are would have helped.Although it was helpful for me andd I don't think there is any other book in the market which talks about apis only so 4.

3 project in the book. - Great, fun and easy to follow.2 errors I had (in 4.0 version of the book):- Heroku: As I understand, cancelled it's free tear. - So I did not deploy my projects there.- Code on page 152 (#django_project/settings.py) did not work with user tokens as is. - I had to add a REST_AUTH={'SESSION_LOGIN': False} line as well there. - I found it on stackoverflow, maybe not the perfect solution, but worked.Great book, I learned a lot from it! :D Thanks!

Excellent book about implementation of API using Django - material is well presented, it is easy to follow and everything is very well explained. This is probably the best book for somoone who wants to advance his Django knowledge and build APIs. There is no need to look for anything alse. There is another book in the series - Django for Profesionals - highly recommended. Those books are going to save you a lot of time learning Django.
