Fits my Lexus RX350 CD Player Slot (Pixel 3 Phone)
I just received this item last night and immediately installed it in my 2018 Lexus RX350. In the past, I've had difficulties finding a cd slot phone holder due to the weird cd slot opening in my car (it has a gap halfway along the bottom opening that some people have referred to as a "lip"). The middle mount tab is the key to making sure the holder fits firmly in the cd slot. I was a little worried initially when inserting the tab into the cd slot because you have to force it in, but it is a rubbery material that does not scratch the car. The cradle that holds your phone feels a bit flimsy, and I can see how over time this will lose grip if you have a heavier phone (I have a pixel 3 which is very light). One other thing I don't particularly like, you need to manually open the cradle arms to remove or install your phone (other holders have a push-button release mechanism that pops the cradle open for you). My concern is that over time constantly opening the cradle will cause it to lose resistance and eventually loosen it up to the point the phone falls off. I will update after some time if my concerns come to fruition.

Very good choice, depending on your vehicle and dashboard layout
This CD-slot-style car mount is working well for my Toyota Tacoma with a Samsung 8" tablet. For this tablet, it must be mounted with the clamps on the narrower width, as the length of the tablet is too long. But since the mount allows complete rotation, I can have the tablet viewable in either landscape or portrait mode (I prefer landscape for navigation purposes myself). It holds well with the addition of one of the supplied extra rubber spacers. It vibrates just a little while driving on bumpy roads, but not enough to have trouble seeing the screen, and tapping on the screen (not while driving, please!) is feasible and doesn't move the tablet much. The mount has not yet wiggled out and seems very secure.I did have to invert the holder upside-down to give a little more view to the OEM screen for the audio and backup camera. I am subtracting one star just because I really need yet another 1-1.5" adjustment upwards to clear the OEM screen entirely and I think they could revise the mount to allow for that additional vertical adjustment. It has sufficient adjustments left-right and swiveling so that I can view the screen for navigation purposes, although in some other vehicle perhaps it would not.Otherwise it's a fine choice and for my particular combination of vehicle, tablet, and personal preferences, it seems to be the best compromise out there.

Stays secure in the CD slot and has deep grips for phone with case, but...
I have now purchased three products from Koomus and I wish that, Goldilocks-like, I could say that this one (the CD-Air Pro) is "just right", but it's not.I have a Moto X Pure Edition in a Seidio Case. (Nowhere near as thick as an Otterbox case.) My first Koomus purchase was a Koomus CD-Air and I liked everything about it, except for one major issue: the grips (arms? sides?) are just too shallow for my phone + case. If I can even get my phone to stay in the grip upon first placement (which would usually take a few tries), any bumps in the road send my phone shooting out somewhere in the car, where I have to fish it back using the charging cable. Not ideal, to say the least.Frustrated, I searched Amazon and noticed that the grips on the Koomus Pro CD were much deeper, so I thought, awesome, problem solved. Unfortunately, the spring which keeps that mount in the CD slot is very weak and while the phone itself was gripped securely by the deep grips, the mount itself would wiggle out of the CD slot so much that most drives found me holding my hand on the mount to keep it from falling out of the CD slot. Again, not ideal. Finally, I spotted this product (the Koomus CD-Air Pro) and figured it was the best of both worlds: a secure CD slot mount like the CD-Air (yes!) and deep grips like the Pro CD (yes!), BUT...The CD-Air has a terrific gooseneck which permits angling of the phone so that it faces the driver (and it keeps the phone high enough so that it doesn't block the display of the backup camera). However, on this CD-Air Pro, Koomus changed the gooseneck to a ball joint which doesn't pivot anywhere near where I need it to (facing me in the driver's seat) and leaves the phone too low so it blocks the backup-camera display below it.I had such high hopes for the CD-Air Pro, but I guess I'll continue my hunt. :(

Not quite a good fit
Using the CD slot is a great idea now that CD's are becoming obsolete, so this product is nearly perfect. When installing in my 2015 Honda Civic, though, I found that the plastic tabs are just a little too wide for my car's CD slot. If one side is fully inserted into the CD slot, the other side won't go all the way in. I even whittled down the plastic on one side, down to the metal, and it still doesn't quite fit. It fits a little better now that I cut away the plastic, but still... The product would have been better if the two side plastic pieces could rotate laterally. Would have been easy to design I think... just have them spring loaded so they are forced outwards to their fullest extent, but then could be contracted inward in case the CD slot was too narrow.

I had the previous model for 4 years
I had the previous model for 4 years with no issues. This seems like it will hold up just as long. It puts the phone right where I need it in my F150. Grea for calls and navigation. Don't be one of those fools who holds their phone up to their face on speaker phone while driving down the road. Get a KOOMUS!!!

Feels sturdy, holds phone well with minimal shake in my harsh riding hot hatch.
Bought this phone holder based on the other reviews and I am not disappointed. I've been using it now for around 5 months. It holds my HTC 10 very well with minimal shaking in my 2016 Fiesta ST (I suspect a smoother riding car would see no shaking at all)! The design of my cars stereo means I have to use the holder upside down, which may add to the very slight shaking at speed.Would give 5 stars if their was more movement in the swivel part, allowing me to adjust it more to my suiting.Highly recommend, but check your stereo to make sure it will fit/not interfere it controls etc.Overall, an excellent purchase and would recommend.

Not sure what others are doing, but this is rock solid for me.
I wrote this since I read alot of reviews before making a purchase. I read some of the other reviews and I did my research on similar products and ended up hoping this one was the best of the bad reviewed ones. I'm not sure what issues others were having this was really simple and works really well. It comes with spacers to help lock it into the CD tray if its loose which was a nice addition. I didn't need any spacers (I tried to squeeze the thinnest one in, cd tray was to tight, didn't need it) and I locked it in.My phone is the Galaxy S21 Ultra which already is a big, semi-heavy phone and I added a case that holds 5 cards so my phone is pretty bulky and heavy compared to most phones. Car mount has no issues, hasn't dropped my phone and mount hasn't come lose from the CD player. I'm going to buy this one again if I ever need it. Recommend this one, won't even try another one as it can only disappoint, can't get much better for what it does.

The ball joint that connects the cd mount to the phone mount is not very firm and that means that the phone jiggles like crazy over every little bump
The mount does fit securely in the CD slot of my car and the grip does hold my phone securely as well. The problem I had with this mount were:1. The ball joint that connects the cd mount to the phone mount is not very firm and that means that the phone jiggles like crazy over every little bump. Good luck reading anything on the screen as it was constantly vibrating.2. The ball joint doesn't have a lot of movement from side to side, so you cannot really tilt the phone to the driver's direction, it just sits facing center.3. The cd mount portion is quite thick and for my car, it actually covered up part of the built in navigation screen. Made it difficult to see some information on the screen below. This may not be an issue for all.I ended up returning the mount, for another one which has addressed those three issues above.

And the one I received is bad enough to require one
I very rarely post reviews. And the one I received is bad enough to require one.To be fair to the manufacturer, this may simply be bad batch but to simply not be able to mount with any reasonable force on some of the most common vehicles on the planet is unreasonable for a "universal mount".I either received a dysfunctional mount or one with a design flaw. Doesn't mount with sufficient force even with included pads that are meant for compatibility, even on a mass produced Toyota Corolla. Loose and not tight.Products with a screw to tighten may result in a significantly tighter mount. The holder for the phone however is fine.
