Original Headline: There is no discernible difference between cheap and expensive neti saltI have been cleansing my nasal for almost two decades, and I have used all different kinds of neti salts. I think this is, at the time of me writing this review, the cheapest nasal cleaning salt on Amazon. Frankly, I really have not felt any difference between cheap and expensive neti salt — they are just, salt. 🤷‍ They all felt the same when mixed with water. So I would not pay more for other pricier brands.Here is a personal recommendation: buy this cheap salt and mix it with Alkalol nasal wash. Alkalol is very effective in cleansing nasal. Alkalol burns your nasal at first, but feels very refreshing after you get used to its burning sensation. Adding salt to Alkalol lessens and smooths out the burning sensation. I have been using Alkalol for many years, long enough to not feel the burning sensation, but I still add salt to it. This is a cheap and good enough enough salt to be used as a base to mix with Alkalol.Update: the price has doubled since I last bought it, so it is no longer the cheapest neti salt.Updated again on July 8, 2021: The price has come back down again. Anyway, I last bought it at $2.50, and I would not buy it if it was over $3.

Very happy with this as I use a neti pot almost everyday. Salt is good quality and great value compared to the single-use packets you can get from other companies.

I noticed something different about this salt right away. Following directions of 1/4 tsp the first time in 8oz of water using my Neti bottle it felt like I poured a full shaker of salt in my nose. (It was so strong I could even taste the salt) The following day I tried using Non-iodinated USP rated salt from the grocery store and there was no problem with 1/4 tsp.Not wanting to give up on this salt I gave it some thought then an answer came to mind. All other Neti salts have additives. whereas this salt has none being "PURE" salt. Even the USP table salt had additives. With no additives of course 1/4 tsp was going to be more salty. (That was this morning)Backing off to 3/16ths tsp solved my problem, and felt right. (Plus had great cleansing action) If this is to salty you may want to try the same thing.I did not like that the zipper bag is basically worthless so you have to use a clip or something else to secure your salt.
