The Kef speakers were so good I just had to get the subwoofer!!!The system, with the KEF speakers is so good I almost quit my gymmembership because now I dance so much!

When I received this subwoofer it come in an amazon box, which, once opened, had the original KEF product box inside. The original box was badly damaged, and had clearly been opened already, and poorly at that. When I opened the KEF box, the subwoofer had been incorrectly packaged and the protective trays inside the package were half torn up and degraded. I pulled the subwoofer out and there were scratches on it and a dried up loogie (yes, someone had spit on it). Bottom line, this was clearly a return, and one that Amazon didn't even evaluate before they sent out the door again. I wonder how many times it had been returned before?? Not cool, Amazon, especially for a $1500 subwoofer.Obviously I returned it, but not before firing up the sub to see what it sounded like, as I was really curious to see if KEF had pulled off the impossible. I'm well versed in adjusting subwoofers to my space and after spending some time getting it calibrated, I had the subwoofer roaring. Truly impressive what KEF has pulled off, however, it just doesn't sound as good as traditional larger subs. It's cool that it's so compact and can fit into tiny spaces, but it's not the bass I'm looking for, and probably wasn't the bass that the previous purchaser that spit on it and returned it, was looking for either. I'd give the sub 3 stars for bass quality. I ended up going with the SVS SB 1000 Pro, which is a bit larger and not quite as aesthetically pleasing, but more than half the price and I'd give it 5 stars in sound quality.Getting a returned and damaged sub at full price was enough to scare me away from ever buying sound equipment from Amazon again. Would highly recommend another retailer, like Crutchfield for this kind of equipment. I still am very grateful for the services Amazon provides, but this purchase certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.

This sub is perfect for desk/office and living rooms. However for larger rooms I'd recommend going with the KC92. I ended up returning it since I wanted a sub that I get to use for any room and got the KC92.KC62 does get super low in the sub range but do not expect high volume output at that low.

The LS 50’s without this little sub is not a complete system! You can hear how well they have been developed to make the perfect small room wireless set up! For $4K you cannot buy a better speaker system. I auditioned th B&W’s as well as the new Sonus Faber, both costing much more but not nearly as good! I have long been a fan of KEF all the back to my first 104.3’s and KEF continues to produce amazing speakers. The bass of the KC62 is tight and very defined but not overwhelming. I have these set up in a small apartment living room which I believe they were engineered for, in a large room I do not think they would be as impressive.

Small but mighty, very accurate musically. I pair with my old but great sounding KEF RDM1s. Worth the $$!

KEF uses superior design and quality to deliver articulate bass down to 11hz! Thats about an octave lower than much larger subwoofers.Don’t let the small size fool you, it is a little beast!Duel force-cancelling design (back to back) with 1000 watts allows you to fire against a wall from the back to shake the room while delivering direct to ear articulation from the front.

Wow - terrific compact subwoofer! Tight, accurate bass that is very deep for its size. Great fit and finish and ID. I love that it has a high pass filter to remove the low frequencies from my smaller satellite speakers. Subwoofer companies that tell you otherwise are just tricking you.
