Cheaper version of compact tripod
I bought this tripod as I want a compact version that you can easily put to your bag. This solves the problem and its quite stable but I still have to test it in the field. I dont think its a carbon fiber, its heavier and looks and feel is like the usual aluminum.Ball head seems fine but I dont like the universal quick release. It has a screw on it which took me some time to loosen out since I want to use my dolica quick relase but they use a screw that is bigger so I end up putting everything back. Quick release is not that "quick" release for me as you have to loosen it all the way then tighten it all back. This will probably take me at least 5 secs compare to my dolica 1-2 secs max.Overall if you want a tripod like the usual zomei and others type who are ranging from $99 and up this is the cheaper version for you.

NOT Carbon Fiber - but is a good value for the price.
Best value for the price. If you are looking at tripods that look similar and have similar specs, it is highly likely it is the same tripod with a different name on it. This product is NOT carbon fiber, the listing is very misleading, however this is the lowest price of this style tripod I have found. It can hold a full frame and sizable lens (D810, 28-300MM Nikkor, external flash) without collapsing. It comes with a decent ball head with quick release, folds down to a decent size and is not too heavy for travel. Save yourself a few bucks and buy this one over the other branded versions.Drawbacks - legs come out fully if you are not careful causing the plastic guides to pop out. You will need to put these guides back in order to retighten the legs. Handgrip padding is not on the leg used as a Monopod.

NOT CARBON FIBER AND IT WEIGHS A TON!
This WOULD be a great tripod if you wanted a Heavy strong tripod made out of METAL weighing about 4 lbs. What I wanted was what the description said it was: a compact LIGHTWEIGHT CARBON FIBER tripod. THIS IS NOT MADE OUT OF CARBON FIBER. The material is definitely Metal, aluminum or an alloy and I already have a cheap metal tripod. This was to be my lightweight Carbon Fiber tripod for an upcoming trip and hiking. The price was good at $95.99 and there was a Promotional certificate discount of $19.20 for what I do not Know. Maybe because I buy so much stuff on Amazon or whatever so it only cost me $76.79. It's going back.
