One for Pets The Front Dog Carrier, Green

Too roomy for a leggy tiny dog; 2. dog seating areas is not close-fitting enough to the human's body; 3. drawstring doesn't enclose the "bag" part of the carrier enough.SIZING INFO: We ordered the smaller size, green color. My dog is a 4-5 lb. poodle mix, with the proportions of a flea: sturdy body and long, spindly legs. The interior of the carrier was very roomy for his body, to the point where he didn't feel secure because of the amount of open space in front of him. He tried getting comfortable by lounging in it instead of sitting upright, but when we started moving he wanted out. We tried cinching the opening of the carrier with the drawstring. However, we found the drawstring only enclosed the opening to a certain degree and there was still too much opening for my dog's comfort. I've attached two pictures to show the carrier and my dog next to a common household cleaning product as a size reference.LIKES: We liked the color. The photo appears over-exposed and extra bright. In real life, the carrier was closer in coloring to the stock photo. This carrier might work for a thicker, more bottom-heavy dog.ADDITIONAL INFO: 1. Liam is very experienced with carriers. We have another type for him that is more like a baby carrier in which the legs are out. We started him in this when he broke his front leg years ago and he has loves this style of carrier, as it rests closely against the human's body and takes the weight off of his front paw, which is somewhat arthritic since the fracture. We will return to this legs-out model. The shoulder straps on this other model are also thicker and padded, and the plastic buckles are much larger. From time to time, we also carry him in a modified tote bag and he also enjoys this form of transport.2. This carrier arrived from Amazon with someone else's dog hairs in it. They were stiff / wiry hairs -- my dog is a poodle mix with soft, curly hair. If this carrier is to be sold as NEW, then it is important that Amazon at least take a lint roller to the product prior to shipping.
