Ease of installation: Didn’t come with instructions but this old lady figured it out

This hinge worked perfectly for what I was trying to accomplish. I needed this stay to hold open a 24"X 24" door that opened from bottom to top in my RV where a TV is being stored. It held the door open as expected, plus the fit allowed my TV to slide in & out as what I was trying to achieve. There are other stay hinges out there that will do the same thing, but at triple the cost. Great buy, I would definitely purchase this item again. Great buy, and easy to install.

I installed this on a wood chest lid because the closer that came with the chest originally did not work correctly any more. As other reviews have pointed out this closer has no instructions whatsoever but I was able to figure out how to make it work because I'm pretty good at that kind of thing. My only complaint is that the lower bracket holes were drilled to large for the screws that were included with it, the top bracket worked correctly with the included screws so I deducted one star for that reason but for some people that would be a "deal breaker." I just happen to have extra screws around the house. You will also need a metric Allen key set to adjust the closer to your desired strength and position since there is no Allen key included.

I used this to slow the closure of a tree house trap door. I like the fact that it has smooth and rounded and dges and a simple design.

No directions

Don't waste your time and money. With no directions or installation instructions, this is useless. Went to the company's website and wasted more time trying to figure out their drawings. Drilled many unnecessary holes in a toy box and although the lid lowers slowly for a bit the last two open inches the lid goes into free fall. The hold open feature works well but I'm concerned with little fingers as it closes. The manufacturer couldn't include a 5 cent template???

Installed on a cabinet in my rv above my microwave. Lot easier to access getting product in and out of the cupboard eliminating having to hold open with one hand

magically works on my purpose to keep the heavy lid open until I choose to push it down. Didn't know of this design until this time. I certainly was not a novice in cabinet carpentry work. Will find more uses. great product. no instruction but common senses will lead you installation.
