The Coolest Raid Book I have read ever!
What a brilliant story I was very engaged by! I must admit that these Raid books are always entertaining because their risk is always dangerous and adventurous. Operation Jericho is one of the most exciting readings I have enjoyed.

Mosquitos to the rescue...
"Operation Jericho" is the intriguing story of a one-off rescue mission in Nazi-occupied France in 1944, shortly before D-Day. In an air raid coordinated with the French resistance, RAF mosquito bombers hit a German prison housing a variety of resistance fighters, many or most of whom faced death sentences. The raid was a qualified success, and a remarkable effort in a time before precision guided munitions. The narrative provides a fascinating workup on the capabilities of the twin-engine plywood Mosquito bomber, and the exceptional crews that flew its missions. The author takes a somewhat guarded approach to the mission itself, apparently requested by Britain's intelligence community and inevitably inflicting casualties among friends and foes. The text includes lots of period photographs and some wonderful diagrams that break down the raid almost minute by minute. Well recommended to students of the air war during the Second World War.

Great documentary book
If you’re a fan of WW2 history about little known battles this is for you. It’s not a big book but it gets to the point quickly.
