Great Press!
This is a great heat press! I broke it out of the box as soon as it arrived and made a few shirts for my kids for Star Wars Day today. I read all of the directions before using and downloaded the recommended heat settings for the vinyl I used. I was very pleased with how easy it was to use and I look forward to using it again! I will update as I make more products.*Update on 4/10/19: I have owned this press for almost a year now and I have made many custom shirts and other items with this press. I added a few more pictures of some of the shirts I have made using a variety of HTV. It's a great press and I have not had any problems with it. Praying that continues, as I use this quite often!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love my heat press, and wish I had dove in and gotten the bigger one! This one works perfectly though, just takes some moving things around if I'm doing a larger project! I've done shirts, onesies, hats, blankets, flags, etc.... All of them have pressed beautifully and I love it! So much easier than an iron and totally worth the price.I also love that it's small enough to sit in my master bathroom (double vanity) and light enough to carry around without a big deal. Very user friendly (even if the directions have a ton of grammatical errors)... I would recommend this to anyone looking to start out or has limited space (like me).(photo attached of project accomplished thanks to this!)

Brand new, used only 1x
but loving it so far. I'm a crafter, for hobby purposes only. I tried the press once. It was super easy to use, and works so much easier than an iron. It takes some time to line up the HTV on the item to be pressed, but this would be true with any press, swing arm or clamshell. It takes up a lot of room due to the swing arm, but I'm glad I went that way, since I feel safer with this method. It seems solid and durable, but I feel it's too early to judge that, yet.

Great for almost three years, but then the thermostat died
I really liked this heat press for almost 3 years. Recently I was sublimating and it wouldn't go past 256 degrees, at least that is what it read. It seemed hot enough to prepress the shirt for sublimation. When I placed it into the press, the shirt melted, it was way too hot. Sad to get rid of it as it was a good deal and did work for nearly 3 years.

Not the best but it works
I have bought a couple of these now, this exact model. I am used to it and doesn't take up much room, although it would be easier to press with a larger model, it's nice for small spaces. I use this for my Etsy business and do hundreds of items a week. It does work well and easy to use but there are some things I do not like. It always gets black oil on me when I turn it on, can't figure out where it comes from. It also starts to shed little flakes of black oil after a while and it ruins any clothing around it and little oil flakes on all over the table its on. I have to clean it thoroughly and spray it with WD40 every week to help with the black oil but it still happens. After almost a year when I pressed it down it is supposed to lock but it stopped staying down and I had to hold it down so I could not walk away at all. The next time I bought it within months the top piece kept sliding off center and I had to use pot holders to move it back with every single use. It's not super high quality and doesn't seem to last long but it gets the job done and for the price I am not on my 4th one.

Good for the money
So i had never worked with a heat press before, you will want to spend a few minutes on the youtube but its really really easy. For the price this machine did exactly what it needed too. You get what you pay for and I don't think I would call it pro grade but it pressed evenly and considering some of the ridiculous things I was trying to do with it I think it handled the jobs quite well. One warning I will give is that the metal bar in the back that it swivels on has grease on it and if you are not careful it can get on the cloth you are using so just be aware of it. But I was overall impressed with this product and got my money's worth.

Overall very poorly manufactured! Buyer beware!
Firstly, this is my first review of any product. I did not even get the opportunity to plug my press in as I sent it back the day after I received it. I bought a nearly identical swivel 12 x10 (which in reality = 11 x 9) about 2 years ago and it turned out to be a complete waste of time and piece of cheap garbage. the two metal pieces that connect to the hold down shaft completely broke off after 2 weeks of use. I had an old gift card and decided to give it one more try.......big mistake! I should have learned my lesson after the first one but believed Amazon's review of this Fancierstudio clamshell as far as build quality. Second big mistake!Press arrived right on time and was packed well and included instruction booklet. I set it on the table prepared for it's use and as soon as I opened the platen I realized there was a very serious problem. The entire upper Platen plate was not only horribly loose and poorly constructed (metal covering was warped) but it was tilted from the left side to the right. When I closed it there was a 2" gap between the two sides and the back portion of the plate also had a gap thus only about a 4" x 5" area between upper and lower plates was actually closed between the plates....and it is very small to begin with. I tried adjusting the pressure knob to no avail. Also, the nuts (4 nuts holding the small plate with the springs and bolts) were all loose. The factory didn't even bother tightening them down. I tightened all of them and the gap actually got larger!!!Also, even if the plates aligned and closed tightly, when I lowered the top down and then closed it the entire top plate slid foward about an inch so anything on the lower plate would be shoved forward. This is a cheap, horribly built, tiny machine with a flimsy upper Platen that doesn't even close properly. I may have just gotten a "damaged" one, but there was a "passed Quality Control" sticker on it so it tells me the builders could care less about Quality altogether.I read all of the reviews for this machine before deciding to go for it and should have focused on the only ones that mattered.......the 1 star reviews. If you want to roll the dice that is your prerogative but this was my experience and I felt compelled to warn others simply because the hassle and poor quality are just not worth the effort. Go with a larger size and clamshell design, these swing aways are all built pretty much by the same factories with the same design and builds and they are all complete garbage. However, on a positive note, I received a refund about from Amazon within 2 hours of dropping it off at UPS store so I was very pleased with this part.
