Klutz Twirled Paper Craft Kit Hardcover – November 1, 2012

I bought this for my daughter's 9th birthday. It is another great addition to the Klutz line and we are not disappointed with it! It comes with a large number of quilling strips (100) so it should keep your crafter set for at least a *little* while, and the included glue and quilling tool are working well for us. My daughter was popping out little fish creations within 15 minutes of opening this gift. I'd say that makes the kit a hit both in terms of awesomeness (she ripped into it right away!) and usability (she didn't need any help from me!)The directions are clear and easy to follow. I like that the book is spiral bound and opens flat. There are more than 30 different ideas on creations inside. The pages and designs are bright and colorful! I like the greeting card ideas, and I've also seen some cool little quilled animal earrings before. The only problem? Where to store/what to do with all these little animal creations. :) But that's the problem with most all craft projects, isn't it?! Two thumbs up for a fabulous book, I'm sure I will soon be searching on Amazon for bulk quilling paper strips to fuel the new obsession.....

I ordered this for my dd (9) and she was thrilled with the colors and the amount. She has been making me (and others) all kinds of little critters and flowers to decorate with. Now we just have to find some way to keep up with the strips when they are not attached all together (at the top) and are individually apart. Arrived quickly, packaged well and in excellent condition.

I bought this as an activity for my son and me to do together. It's awesome! The only criticism I can offer is that if you're not too familiar with how long to make the paper strips to get certain shapes and sizes, some of the designs will be harder to replicate. There are plenty to do, but there aren't specific instructions for all the designs pictured in the book.

This kit is so cute! Instead of keeping it, I am going to give it to my 8 year old granddaughter. I recently taught her how to quill, & she is doing a fantastic job. She wants to do more, & this is perfectly illustrated & brightly colored, & will appeal to her!

This is a good beginner kit. However, it was quite disappointing to have the glue be completely dried out. The glue is necessary so now another purchase is needed.

Tween son loves it! It keeps him involved for a long time. He's making items from this to give as small gifts to friends. The book and materials are great.

This kit has everything you need to make many twirled paper creations. Its fun and easy but it does take some patience. Great instruction / idea book included.

I got this for a ten year old girl who likes to craft. This was a dud. She said it was too complicated and she couldn't figure out how to do it. She's not stupid or the type to walk away from something interesting. Guess this wasn't it.

Bought as a present for a 10 year old girl and it went down really well. She thought it was really cool and mum has since said it has served well on rainy afternoons during half term.You get lots of little projects and all the accessories needed are included. I am sure you would be able to get more paper when it runs out and carry on with your own ideas etc. too. Very creative.

These are a little tricky. My 7 yr old has trouble making the shapes. I think if the crafts were a little larger and the paper a tad more stiff they would be easier to handle. Even Mama had trouble making these designs. Great idea though for someone with the patience!

We bought this for our Grandaughter and she loves it. The book is excellent, so many ideas of things to make. It will keep her occupied for many hours.I would think anyone interested in arts and crafts would be very interested in this, and would definitely recommend it to them. No problem with delivery etc. Mavo.
