I absolutely loved this book. It is told from a wide and generous heart, it describes Samantha's journey from Richard and her upbringing, her relationships and how hard it was for her. Samantha shares her life experiences with us all and you totally feel engaged with her narration from start to end. Samantha also educates us all. I have know Sam for long time and I have never knew how much she had struggles with everything going on for her. Reading this book has really blew my mind away and understanding in her. I had really enjoyed reading this book. Samantha had been through an incredible journey and this is reflected in who she is now : a strong lady. She had been very open with her transgender journey and this will help many others, particularly deaf transgenders. Worth a read.

This book exceeded my expectations of what I was hoping for. I felt I was living Samantha’s life through her words. I laughed, cried and got frustrated, however most of all, I was educated on Samantha’s journey on how she got to where she is now.

Learnt a lot about the trans journey for Samantha, very emotional to read and so much need to be done to improve awareness, access to education and more opportunities, to embrace diversity and eliminate divisions. Isabel.
