the swivel that attaches to the shower water line is metal, but it isn't tight enough to hold my shower head up. It droops. I feel like I will strip or break it if I tighten it any more.

Great piece, finish, perfect match, only issue is the shower head does not sit deeply into the opening, it appears smaller than the original, may just need to form over time

Well, upgraded my review after the company replaced a defective unit immediately. They actually shipped it overnight to me which probably cost more than the product itself. You just can't get customer service like that anywhere. This really is the nicest oil rubbed bronze arm bracket on Amazon, and it is well worth the money. Frustrated with many oil rubbed bronze shower products on Amazon because most of them are just painted and peel, or just cheap plastic most likely from China. I do like the oil rubbed bronze metal nut that screws on the shower head flange. They also do have a decent oil rubbed bronze shower hose and I recommend that too.

Awesome product! Very Heavy duty. Better than other name brands because they are made with plastic and this one is metal. Glad I found this Shower Head holder Highly recommended!

Pros: looks very nice, it's made of plastic but the color and finish are very good.Cons: can't get complete seal from the shower pipe - actually, I'm connecting it to the Fillixar water filter (https://www.amazon.com/Fillixar-Chlorine-Showerhead-Replacement-Indicator/dp/B074P1C3NK), which seems pretty good so far; I used plumber's tape, but still leaks; also, I can't tighten it enough to hold my hand-shower (https://www.amazon.com/26040BRB-Propel-Pressurized-Package-Mediterranean/dp/B06Y24QZ19); part of the problem is that the tightening area is a circle and you can't put a wrench to it (it's round and made of plastic); another part is that I'm using a somewhat heavy hand-showerFor me, the unit is no good, but if you connect it straight to the shower pipe and don't use too heavy of a hand-shower, it may work. It's the only way to go.

I have a battery operated handheld shower head which is large & heavy. The original shower arm support eventually broke at the inlet. The part is no longer available from the manufacturer. I tried without success to find another shower arm bracket that would work. Then I came across this shower arm bracket. The inlet & ball are metal (brass) & the remaining assembly is made of ABS. I installed the bracket with ease & no leaks. It supported my handheld with no problem (no drooping). I can adjust it up-down & side to side & it stays put. The "O" ring for the ball appears to be made of good quality material & should last for sometime. Overall this shower arm bracket seems to be high quality (better than my original). Only time will tell how long it stands-up but for now I am very happy with this bracket.PS- This is also one of the most inexpensive shower arm supports out there.
