ColumbiaBoys' Steens Mountain Ii Fleece

We order new Columbia fleeces for our kids every time they out grow one. They are our favorite for wearing in the car seat as anything too bulky is unsafe. The fleece is nice and thick and very warm while still being a safe thickness for car seat safety. The colors are always great- they never fade, bleed or show wear. They hold up so well we are able to pass on our hand me downs to cousins both little boys and little girls. The coats do seem to run narrow through the chest and waist with the sleeves being long. That being said I usually order up a size coming into the colder months. These fleeces get worn from the fall, through winter and into spring. Perfect for unpredictable New England weather.

Our son has blue eyes and I love the Hyper Blue color. It looks great on him!Sizing: He is 2 and typically wears a 2T in shirts but we wanted the jacket to last at least 6 months so we ordered the 3T and it fit but there was no room to grow so we ordered the 4T and it fits great. Our son is in the 25th percentile for weight so he's on the slim side but he is tall (75th percentile for height), if that helps anyone. This jacket seems to run on the small size so I would advise going up in size.Quality: Some reviewers said the fleece quality isn't great but I think it is just fine. It isn't the most plush fleece but it is warm and comfotable for our son so I'm happy. I think the price is right for the quality.

I bought this for my 11 year old son, as he was wearing an old fleece that was far too small. He’s very picky about how things feel, hence wearing his old coat for so long. He likes this coat so much he doesn’t even take it off when he gets to school! I just purchased him another one in a different color, so I can get the chance to wash the first one! Lol! Very soft and silky fleece, nice and warm, and not thick at all! My son says there’s nothing itchy or uncomfortable about it it all.

I bought this so my son could wear it in the winter in his car seat. I purchased a 3t - he’s a 2t/3t- and was disappointed this seemed tighter on him. I wished I sized up. I don’t think I can use it with more than a long sleeve shirt under it. Hoping it still fits during the Spring. My recommendation is to size up if you purchase.

I have consistently purchased this jacket for my son after reading a recommendation online that it is ideal for being worn in the car seat. This jacket fits well (it’s snug but not tight, which it what you want with the car seat). My son has never complained about it being uncomfortable and is able to run around and play in it at school. The jackets are durable so I can hand them down to my infant. The jacket is also warm for cooler weather, but obviously not warm enough for snowy winters. I’ve been very pleased, and considering it’s affordable price point, I will continue to purchase this jacket until he’s old enough to pick his own.

Liked, very warm, holds up well, and durable, but a bit small. We bought at 3years old, and it along side another Columbia product we bought at the same time and size were the first two things to get "sized out" before 4th birthday. We expected to get two winters out of this, and instead barely used it the first winter as similar OshKosh, Carters, and LLBean fleeces of the same size fit better over thicker undershirts.Sad, because the manufacture of this is awesome and may be the best of any we have seen. A hooded version of this would be absolutely perfect, as long as you buy large.

I bought two of these for my sons ages 4 and 6. The goal was for them to have something warm to wear on a hiking and camping trip to a lake in the mountains of New Mexico. The lake sits at over 9,000 feet, so it gets chilly at night. The jackets are heavier than I would normally prefer for myself, but that is because I prefer ultralight equipment. Anyway, these were perfect for the trip. They kept my boys warm during the chilly mountain nights. Honestly, I think these would keep them warm in standard (non-hiking, city living) winter weather too if it is not too windy out. As my kids grow out of these I will consider simply upsizing with this same jacket.

I love this jacket! It’s better than I expected it to be. The color is perfect and so is the quality.I was looking for a jacket that can help in Northeast winters but is light enough to be used in the car seat and this jacket fits the bill.Just one point to note - the size can be a challenge. I ordered 3T for my 2 yr son who is in 50 percentile of height and weight. The jacket fits is perfectly now with layers and I don’t think he will be able to wear it next year. So choose wisely if your kid is big for the age.

El color muy deslavado. Dice Stretch y no es. Llegó a tiempo. La talla muy pequeña, el cuerpo está alargado y angosto. Es para alguien muy delgado y alto.

Lástima que la siento un poco pequeña. Creo que mi hijo la usará poco porque si viene muy justa.

Es una buena pieza, calientita y ligera, mi hijo tiene 3 años, pero es alto y delgado, compré talla XS y le quedó un poco grande, pero bien para seguir usándola.
