6port PoE Injector for Under 20 Bucks? Yippieeeee!
These things used to cost well over 100 bucks. But seeing as original Wilife systems are basically obsolete now, I guess the final stock is being liquidated. The ports are clearly marked -- 6 ports connect to your 6 Wilife cams, and the corresponding 6 ports connect to your network directly, thus eliminating the need for those pesky Wilife power supplies, or USB 'network over electrical line' adapters. That config is just terrible and always has been. Yup, Wilife was ahead of its time, but it was also riddled with flaws and hiccups too. This PoE injector improves the performance of my old Wilife cams so they are at least tolerable. Yes, they're still delayed, but the stop-motion video has been eliminated. My Wilife cams run about 5 seconds behind my Foscams, however, the video does play smoothly. It's still only 15fps, but I can live with that for now. This PoE injector should work with any PoE cam, like this Foscam FI8910E PoE Cam . I may buy one just to give it a whirl. There's definitely instances where a PoE cam would just work better.Overall -- a great deal for a PoE switch. Happy! ;oD

Hugely Underrated
Run with Cat5 cable, this works with the Wilife indoor cameras (even the ones sold with HomePlugs) and by virtue of direct wiring allows you to construct a hugely reliable security camera system. As PoE, it appears to be a product that was marketed ahead of its time, hence Logitech's switch to HomePlug for the later Wilife and new Alert cameras. It really is worth snapping up the old stock to build an excellent system at hugely discounted prices.
