Q: Will this the 460 and the 460 Rancher? The box picture says yes, but the description does not.

There are a couple different bar options on the 460 the specs shoudl be stamped on the side of the bar. It should say 3/8, .50 and 84DL. If so this will fit

Hey Chris, If the bar on your Stihl saw requires a 3/8" pitch, .050" gauge chain, this may fit however, since we do not test for competitor compatibility, I cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that this chain would fit a Stihl saw with the same accuracy and precision it would fit a Husqvarna chainsaw with. Q: im looking for an odd ball chain so they say. 86 drag links, .060 approx. dl thickness and .325 pitch, any advice

What kind of saw? I've noticed that Stihl saws can have the same length bar as others but have a different amount of drivelinks. 3/8 pitch is more typical, my smaller Husqvarna uses .325 with .050" though. I've only come across bigger saws having the bigger gauge. Something else to consider, if you're using dial calipers or whatever to measure, it seems like manufacturers are all over. I recently did this, most of my chains are .050 but none of them measure like that. .055" to .062" were common with 3 different manufacturers

Q: What diameter file is recommended to sharpen for this chain?

Husqvarna model H47S 7/32" SP33g 3/16" C83 7/32" The chain box will indicate in upper right corner the proper file size to use for sharpening.
